Always Flying has not quite been getting home over hurdles, but this track should suit and he may last home today. Bishop's Bridge has shown enough in his races to suggest he will soon break his duck. The dark horse though is JOE COOLEY who had three top performers in front when fourth in a hot bumper at Ayr over a year ago, when quietly fancied.

BESEIGED has found himself in the grip of the handicapper, but he put in his best effort for some time when third to Mr Bigglesworth at Wetherby last time. After a good juvenile campaign Hilltime seemed to have lost his way a little, but he should make his presence felt in this company. Ipledgeallegiance is a grand old performer and could spring a suprise or two over the summer.

3

15:00 Market Rasen (Class D) (5YO plus)

Geoffrey & Mollie Booth Memorial Beginners' Chase

Seaniethesmuggler won over hurdles here last November, but has failed to complete since. WET LIPS has decent form over hurdles and looks the one they all have to beat on his chasing debut. Still in front when falling three out last time, Kavi receives a weight for age allowance today and should give the selection plenty to think about.

15:30 Market Rasen (Class D) (4YO plus)

Harris Construction (Leeds) Handicap Hurdle

2m 6f

Winner £4,901 - 9 ran

Almnadia looked good when winning on this track last August, but has been pulled up twice in better company since. Queen Soraya ran a stinker last time, she is capable of much better and is worth another chance. COTTTAM GRANGE won over C&D three weeks ago beating a much larger field, and is taken to follow up this afternoon.

5

16:05 Market Rasen (Class F) (5YO plus)

Napoleons Casino Hull Handicap Chase

Winner £3,465 - 8 ran

Were Not Stoppin was beaten 10l by BENEFIT here last time and may struggle to reverse positions with that one despite a slight pull in the weights. BENEFIT was not effective on slower ground last time but should get the quick ground he relishes this afternoon. Cromwell is a prolific course winner and should not be totally ruled out of the equation.

6

16:35 Market Rasen (Class H) (5YO plus)

Geostar Hunters' Chase

2m 6f 110y

Winner £1,282 - 5 ran

A fair performer under rules in the past and a recent winning effort between the flags singles out ROYAL SNOOPY as the likely winner of this event. The main danger should be Teeton Priceless who was a creditable third at Ludlow last time. A winner over 1m2f on the Flat, Oscar Pepper has yet to translate that ability to this sphere.

7

17:05 Market Rasen (Class H) (4YO to 6YO)

Napoleons Casino Hull Standard Open NH Flat Race

2m 1f 110y

Winner £1,995 - 15 ran

Lago D'Oro sets the standard with three fine efforts in this type of race a couple of seasons ago, but her long lay off is a bit of a worry. Fancied for her debut back in January, ALASKAN FIZZ met trouble in running but still ran a creditable third and will know her job better this time. Geoff Harker saddles Jallopy and any of his runners in this sphere should be noted.
