The well-bred Private Story never really lived up to expectations on the Flat but could go well first time over hurdles. Phoenix Flight, placed in his last two starts over timber, is flattered somewhat by those form figures but has claims in this company. Preference is for MAGIC PROSPECT, also dropping in grade. He was just touched off over 2m3f at Fontwell last month and could benefit for this drop in trip.

WAR PARTY can take this on his return from a lay-off. He landed a double over fences last back end, has won over hurdles and looks well treated on his return to the smaller obstacles. Very Stylish has been well beaten twice since scoring at Uttoxeter but could prove the danger if putting his best foot forward, while Call It On could be given a chance on his best efforts.

Plenty in with chances here but preference is for Carlisle winner WHAT'S OCCURRIN. He's up 12lb on his winning mark but just missed out over 2m4f at Sedgefield this month and has very little to find on that effort to score here. Apache Chant is a consistent performer and looks a good bet for the forecast but chances could also be given to Kadouchski, Wake Board and Stick Together.

Schindler's Gold looks a progressive sort over fences but still has plenty to do off top weight, while Mister Wiseman landed a double over fences at the start of the year but might have too much weight now. CHORIZO was a distant third of four over 3m1f here last month but that was his best effort for some time. He's reasonably treated on his winning efforts and could be worth supporting if he's running back into form.

It could pay to stick with last month's Uttoxeter winner, HOME SHE GOES, here. Although she's up 7lb here, she's improved for each of her four runs over fences and there could be more to come. Our Guardian Angel is a useful hurdler and could go well first time over the bigger obstacles, while Karingreason has been placed in her last four starts but is starting to look exposed.

Bob Hall was a class act in his heyday and ran well enough in a competitive event at Cheltenham latest to suggest he should be capable of making his mark this afternoon. A triple winner in this code last year, his claims would appear obvious but slight preference is for ELEAZAR (engaged to run at Uttoxeter yesterday), who looked on really good terms with himself when bolting up by a wide margin at Fakenham last month and could prove a tough nut to crack again if returning to the track in similar form. The lightly-raced Beau Traveller rates best of the rest.

Viscount Victor shaped with a little more promise when not disgraced in finishing fifth around here last month and should be able to take close order again today. However, ALI BABA was noticeably green on debut, finishing fifth at Chepstow, and the Nayef gelding is entitled to improve significantly from that initial experience. The newcomer Stealing The Line is nicely bred and he rates best of the rest.
