FILM DIRECTOR has been found an opening dropping into a maiden in first-time cheekpieces and if running up to his mark of 115, he should take plenty of beating. A half-length second over C&D two starts ago, he filled the runner-up spot on his return from 199 days off the track at Sedgefield latest and if he's come forward for that outing, this could be the time to catch him. With Hindsight and For Goodness Sake rate best of the rest.

OUR KYLIE is one of just three distance winners in the field and an 11lb rise for his maiden hurdle triumph at Carlisle in March isn't concerning given the manner of the performance. Lightly raced in handicaps, there was plenty to like about the way she went about her business - showing a good turn of foot to lead between the last two flights before drawing clear after the last. She can go in again at the main expense of Lovely Bubbly and Sirpertan.

NET WORK ROUGE has been found a decent opening and if the first-time cheekpieces eke out some improvement in the Network gelding, he's potentially well treated off 120 going back over fences. A dual hurdles winner, Kim Bailey deemed him good enough to contest a Grade 2 over timber at Cheltenham in December and his latest effort at the Punchestown Festival can be forgiven. Baku Bay is expected to be thereabouts and Get Involved is also respected.

KENTUCKY STAR was a well-supported favourite when he came down at the seventh at Wincanton recently. He had not been asked a question at the time and could provide his supporters with some valuable compensation today. Byron Flyer is still comparatively unexposed and an impressive winner on his handicap debut at Plumpton recently, he avoids a penalty for that win. Vaillant Creek is another to arrive here on the back of a win but he will need to improve to defy his current mark.

A highly-competitive contest for the time of year and it is hard to ignore the chances of JOHNS SPIRIT, who will relish this good ground. He has dropped like a stone through the handicap but he did not run too badly when third at Cheltenham last month and he has slipped another 5lb in the ratings since then. Art Of Logistics ran well to finish third to Thomas Crapper on his debut for Philip Hobbs and he could reverse that form with a 3lb swing in the weights. My Brother Sylvest and Turn Over Sivola are others who make the shortlist.

SEE DOUBLE YOU may be the veteran of the field at 13 years old but he was an impressive winner over hurdles at Hexham and ran well when just touched off at Bangor on Saturday. Flaming Gorge has been running well enough in decent hunter chases to suggest that he can go well in this weak handicap, while Sonofagun is slowly dropping back down towards a winnable mark.

Cougar's Gold sets the standard based on his fourth at Ayr last month and the son of Oscar has improved with every start to date. That said, FLEMENSKILL cost 68,000 euros as a three-year-old and he is related to plenty of winners, including the top-class chaser Young Hustler. Midnight Chill and Rat A Tat Tat are other newcomers to note, while Black Ivory has experience on his side and could make the frame today.
