French import FIX SUN made light work of winning a three-runner contest on his UK/hurdling debut at Sedgefield in May and although this is a lot more competitive, he is fancied to complete the double. Baron De Midleton has undergone wind surgery since his Doncaster success and ought to show up well, while Fearless, who is making his debut for Olly Murphy, adds further spice to the race following two promising bumper efforts last season.

He is entitled to improve for that first start since March and can play a leading role under top conditional Fergus Gregory. It is hard to knock Zolfo in his present mood, but when completing the hat-trick here on Boxing Day he didn't win as convincing as when twice victorious at Bangor. A further 5lb rise in the weights makes life more difficult for him in a better race, and perhaps the handicapper has got him. With that in mind, JUST DON'T ASK has been knocking on the door of late and looks up to winning in this company. Ballinslea Bridge can also make his presence felt.

Midnight Ginger landed a bumper at Newbury in December and is expected to remain competitive, in his higher grade, for Alan King. Narrow preference, however, is for Willie Mullins' raider, PANIC ATTACK, who makes some appeal on breeding, being out of a bumper winner, and should know her job first time out.
