MAC TOTTIE opened his chase account with a comfortable victory over 2m5f here last month and he is well worth considering once again as he tries three miles for just the second time. He was pulled up on his first attempt at the distance, but did have legitimate excuses having been found to be lame, and he remains well handicapped for this follow-up mission. Ask Paddy was extremely progressive last season and could take a step forward from his Catterick reappearance, while Duhallow Lad will relish any further rain and arrives here in great form. Sizing Cusimano went close at Wincanton on Boxing Day and is also noted off a 3lb higher rating.

Across The Line built on a couple of fine efforts in defeat since scoring at Hereford in November when adding a second victory to his CV over two miles here last time and Dan Skelton's six-year-old has to be respected. Art Approval has performed with credit in a couple of hot Cheltenham contests this season, while Phil Kirby saddles an interesting recruit from the pointing field in Diakosaint. However, there could be plenty more to come from Lucy Wadham's mare MARTELLO SKY, who made a winning switch to hurdles at Fakenham last month. Before that she was a very respectable fifth in a Listed bumper at Cheltenham and that race is often a solid piece of form.

FAWSLEY SPIRIT, second at Doncaster on his penultimate start, was making a bold bid from the front and yet to be passed when falling at the last at Ascot in December. Ben Pauling's eight-year-old could pick up some compensation in a contest without the same depth today. In The Detail is getting better with each appearance under Rules and kept on well for third at the Berkshire track a day earlier than the selection was last seen. Paul Webber's six-year-old is interesting making his handicap bow here, while Blue Hussar is only 3lb higher than when landing this contest 12 months ago.

EDWARDSTONE unseated his rider on his chase debut at Doncaster last time but he has some smart hurdles form in the book, including his sixth in the Supreme last season, so makes some appeal now reverting to the smaller obstacles. Oscars Leader has been knocking hard on the door and wouldn't be winning out of turn, while Dan Skelton's Langer Dan is worth a market check now having his first start since undergoing wind surgery.

LIL ROCKERFELLER ran a mighty race from the front when second over 3m in a handicap at Newbury last time and is expected to show up well once again on these terms. On The Blind Side found only the smart McFabulous too good when second in the Relkeel last week and should be thereabouts if those exertions haven't taken their toll. Course winner Mohaayed has been holding his form well lately and is another to bear in mind.

Grangee will attract plenty of attention here as a rare Market Rasen runner for Willie Mullins. The five-year-old won easily on debut at Galway in October and has been talked about by her handler in recent days as a potential Champion Bumper horse at Cheltenham if all goes to plan here. That being said, it won't be easy for the Great Pretender mare to give EILEENDOVER 7lb. Pam Sly's star filly is only a four-year-old, but she was an impressive winner at Huntingdon in November and followed up easily under a penalty at Wetherby a few weeks later. Chosen Port bumped into a smart type at Wetherby in November and could prove good enough for third.

Easy Bucks has form figures of 2112 from his last four outings and remains open to improvement at the age of just six. Wye Aye was second in a jumpers' bumper at Newcastle earlier this month and that should have kept him ticking over nicely, but this could go the way of recent Doncaster winner TWOJAYSLAD. He isn't getting any younger, but showed a nice attitude to strike at Town Moor last time and can remain competitive, especially as Charlie Todd claims an extra 2lb this time.
