MILROW had G'day Aussie and Daring Knight miles behind when successful here last time and a similar performance could be enough to land the spoils. His biggest danger could come from the newcomers, as Four Mile Beach was a decent sort without winning for Mark Johnston, though a larger threat could come from Recognition, who won a couple of handicaps on the all-weather for Roger Varian and now runs for Nicky Henderson's powerhouse yard.

Gwafa was impressive when landing a Grade Three over timber at Haydock, but he has to give plenty of weight to a potentially well-treated animal in MOABIT. Paul Nicholls' four-year-old won comfortably in handicap company off 10lb lower at Stratford and followed up with a 19-length demolition job in novice company at Newton Abbot. He could prove better than his current mark of 133. Red Tornado is interesting on his handicap bow after registering a four-timer in novice races, while Rejaah, Cornborough and Hassle are others to note in a hugely competitive race.

Paul Nicholls has a trio of runners and it may be that recent novice chase second Monsieur Gibraltar is the pick despite being out of the handicap. Golden Doyen has claims but has picked up a nasty habit of finding one too good, so it may be worth siding with BALLYNAGOUR. David Pipe's charge was back in contention at the second last over further at Uttoxeter last time and this drop in trip could see him go very close. Theinval won easily in novice company at Uttoxeter and is another to note.

Ballycamp has finished second and third on his last two visits to this track so should not be underestimated, while Sir Toby and Jupiter Custos both went close on their respective hurdling debuts at Worcester and must be a threat. TAHIRA gets the vote, though, as she followed up a convincing win at Aintree with a good second at the Liverpool track and she looks capable of returning to winning ways here.

Hammersly Lake is a classy type who could prove too strong if fully wound up on his first start since October, but the yard also have claims with Forever Field, who beat Handsome Man well last time. Kalifourchon's course win came over a longer trip, but preference is for BYRON FLYER. Ian Williams' gelding won by 10 lengths here two starts ago and followed up off a 12lb higher mark at Worcester last time. A 5lb rise for that win may not be enough to stop him.

16:30 Market Rasen (Class 3) (4YO plus)

Both Kublai and Optimistic Bias have shaped as though the switch to the larger obstacles will suit, while Castlemorris King went close when reverted back to fences at Worcester last time. Master Dee hinted that his time may come soon enough when second at Uttoxeter last time, but preference is for SUCH A LEGEND. Kim Bailey's charge ran a cracker in a competitive heat at Uttoxeter latest and can put his wealth of chasing experience to good use here.

PRINCE KHURRAM was touched off by under a length over a similar trip at Cartmel last month and is expected to remain competitive on the back of a 1lb rise. Le Bacardy and Ulis De Vassy have dropped to workable ratings and must be considered closely, while a big run from Ciceron, who bolted up by eight lengths over track and trip earlier in the month, is also anticipated.
