Queen's Magic is the main danger but she has had a few chances now and was beaten at cramped odds in a maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter in November. Emma Lamb rates best of the rest.

A few of these have some excellent form in the book, with Jimmy Rabbitte chasing a four-timer and Fairway Freddy on a hat-trick. They have gone up 10lb and 8lb respectively, though, and need to improve in this stronger contest. Ballon Onabudget remains unexposed ahead of just his second start for Tom George but this can go to POTTERS MIDNIGHT, who carried a big weight to victory at Lingfield a month ago and shouldn't be too inconvenienced by a 7lb rise. She jumps well and ought to be competitive on ground that should suit.
A really interesting race of its type with the narrow vote in favour of FAIRWAY FREDDY. He's a rapid improver in handicaps late last year, an 8 lb rise for his latest victory looks manageable and he can complete the hat-trick after a break. Dino Velvet has fallen to a workable mark and is feared, along with The Twisler and Jimmy Rabbitte.

A match race can go the way of the in-form Alan King and CHOSEN PATH. The six-year-old stuck his neck out to land a competitive event at Newbury in December, and he looks to have more to offer over staying trips. He can land this before maybe moving into a handicap at one of the big spring festivals. Although Skipthecuddles was deemed good enough to run in a Grade 2, he was disappointing at Chepstow subsequently and arrives with a little to prove just now.

Brave Spartacus brings winning course form to the table and is noted, while Boss Des Mottes isn't without a squeak on the pick of his Market Rasen form, though he has an absence to overcome.
