No Comment was sent off favourite for the Grade 2 Persian War at Chepstow on his seasonal bow last month but didn't get any further than the second flight and now has questions to answer following his cramped-odds reverse at Aintree. LIEUTENANT GRUBER makes most appeal on the basis that he created a deep impression when winning a Carlisle bumper in May and, given his connections, should know his task making his seasonal and hurdling debut for a new yard. Accord and Mr Monochrome rate best of the rest.

Charlie Longsdon has made a flying start to the new jumps season proper and ZARA HOPE can continue that trend bidding to defy an 8lb rise for her impressive C&D triumph last month. A winner at Chepstow at the back end of last season, she is on the upgrade and should have more to offer. Ten Trees also boasts winning form over C&D and must enter calculations, likewise the hat-trick-seeking Theatre Act.

AUNTY ANN gets a tentative vote in a race that looks well above average for the grade. Although she hasn't gone on fully from her winning start, the way she travelled for a long way at Uttoxeter last time suggests she's comfortably ahead of her opening mark, so she's taken to get the better of C&D winners Zara Hope and Ten Trees, with hat-trick seeking Theatre Act worth a mention, too.

WALKING IN THE AIR disappointed favourite backers on his return to action over hurdles at Carlisle last month but is entitled to improve for the switch to fences and the form of his Warwick success in March reads well. A mark of 129 could underestimate his ability and, representing the Dan Skelton operation, he's expected to have been well schooled. Preseli Rock isn't without claims boasting winning form on similar ground, while Hedley Lamarr is another expected to go well for a powerful stable.

I JUST KNOW was an impressive all-the-way winner at Hexham earlier in the month and, entitled to improve for that first start since April, he gets the vote to follow up off this 9lb higher mark. Foundation Man backed up his Warwick success with a solid placed effort at Stratford and he seems sure to be in the shake-up again, while Fight Commander has a 243-day absence to overcome but is certainly capable of a big run.

I JUST KNOW looked a natural when making a winning chase debut at Hexham on return and looks capable of following up. Fight Commander remains lightly raced and is next best ahead of Amiral Collonges, who's potentially on a handy mark back over fences.
