Master Of Irony built on his Catterick victory with a solid run under a penalty at the same venue earlier in the month and should be thereabouts, though it may be worth taking a chance on MONBEG OSCAR, who gets weight from the first named and should be all the wiser for the experience gained when third over 2m at Ludlow latest. Broughtons Rhythm has claims on his Kempton second in May and is entitled to come on for his last run at Newbury.

WICKED WILLY won off this mark in a conditional jockeys' handicap over the extended 2m3f at Huntingdon five days ago and is capable of making his presence while unpenalised for that success. Brian Boranha passed the post in first over the extended 3m1f at Catterick last time but was disqualified after his rider weighed in 2lb light. However, he should remain competitive off this 4lb higher mark. Mwaleshi, stepping up in trip, is another to consider.

WHAT A DIVA attracted support when fourth over 2m5f at Warwick last month and needs to raise her game in order to open her account. However, she makes strong appeal on her preceding second at Exeter and appears on a fair mark while 3lb higher. Squeeze Me has been off the track since striking at Cartmel in June but has place claims along with Viking Mistress, who could build on her Huntingdon fourth latest now stepped up in trip.

The Skelton yard has been quiet since the turn of the new year in terms of runners and winners, and Three Musketeers arrives at the Lincolnshire venue with a bit to prove after being pulled up last time. Connections reach for first-time cheekpieces now but he will likely be short enough and KING'S ODYSSEY could be the one to beat. Evan Williams' charge was going well in a hot Grade 3 at Cheltenham last time out before falling and he should relish the likely testing conditions on offer. Kilcrea Vale was impressive when winning by 19 lengths last time on chase debut but the son of Beneficial would probably prefer a sounder surface to be seen at best effect.

ATTIMO had been out of sorts before returning to form on Boxing Day with a decent victory at Sedgefield when stuck wide for most of the way and he can follow up under Jonathan England off 5lb higher. Cheekpieces remain fitted and this rates as a decent opportunity for the eight-year-old to land successive wins. Unzing landed his first UK triumph at Market Rasen on the same day as the selection but that form doesn't look quite as strong, while Highbury High completes the shortlist.

VANCOUVER moved well for much of the way at Sedgefield last time out and this slightly shorter trip should suit the five-year-old. An opening handicap rating of 113 looks fair and the Wiltshire-based handler has a 33% record at this venue in the last five years. Nietzsche was disappointing at Musselburgh earlier this month and lacked fluency in his jumping, with Movie Legend expected to pose a larger threat after his close second over the larger obstacles last time.
