Jonjo O'Neilll has a good record at this venue and is double-handed in the opener, with SHE'S LATE looking his main hope ahead of Flinstone. After a very promising hurdles debut, the former useful Flat performer may not have been helped by the rain when disappointing at Newbury last month and is worth another chance on this better surface. Aneedh, who is fit from the Flat, has shown ability in three outings over timber, while Perennial is very interesting recruit to this sphere for Philip Kirby and should be monitored in the betting.

OLIVER'S GOLD has continued his progress since returning to action recently and the C&D winner is fancied to complete a double here, shrugging off a 6lb rise for his Wetherby success in the process. Pass Muster reverts to hurdles on the back of a Flat victory at Musselburgh last month and there could be plenty more to come from Philip Kirby's seven-year-old in this sphere. Feared most, however, is Trend Is My Friend, for whom AP McCoy is an eye-catching booking on his first start since August.

Xenophon has been knocking on the door but is still searching for his first chase success, while Tayarat looks in the handicapper's grip now, so this could be a good opportunity for CALUSA STAR to get off the mark. Philip Hobbs' five-year-old left his hurdles form well behind when going down by just a head on his debut over larger obstacles and although he is 6lb higher now, further progress beckons with that experience under his belt.

Listen And Learn made good progress last year and could still be on a workable mark, but his lack of a recent run means slight preference is for the match-fit ENCHANTED GARDEN. Malcolm Jefferson's gelding showed enough when third over this trip at Perth on a testing surface last month to suggest another bold bid beckons off the same mark, and he has winning Flat form on good ground. With Nicky Richards' string in fine form, course winner Parc Des Princes must be respected, but he has no margin for error off his current mark.

Last-time-out winners ZARZAL and Vulcanite look like the ones to concentrate on. The latter accounted for two subsequent winners when a ready winner at Stratford and the wind operation seemed to do the trick. A 3lb rise is fair, but he may not have as much in hand as the Evan Williams-trained selection, who was sparked into life my a first-time visor and a return to chasing when hacking up at Ludlow a week ago. The headgear is retained and with a hefty rise expected, the decision to turn him out again quickly under a 7lb penalty looks a wise one. Oceana Gold can pick up the bronze medal.

Fair Bramble was sent off favourite over 2m4f here last time but fell at the third and proceeded to complete four laps of the track thereafter. If she's over those exertions then she could feasibly figure, though preference is for KELTIC RHYTHM, who remains only 4lb higher than when winning over this trip at Fontwell in March. Ballylifen drops back in trip after failing to get home over 3m1f at Towcester and is another for the shortlist.

Of those with previous experience to their name, Daisie Raymond, a well-held third over track and trip on debut last month, makes most appeal. However, the form standard set is surmountable and some interesting newcomers look the ones to focus on. ALTIOR, a 60,000-euro purchase last year, is preferred ahead of Dashing Over, who is a half-brother to a NH winner, and Malcolm Jefferson inmate Double W's, whose price rose to 12,000 euros as a three-year-old.
