RUSSIAN ROYALE is turned out under a penalty after romping home by six lengths over 2m at Perth last time and rates the one to beat on the back of that effort. The main danger could be Oneofapear, who wasn't disgraced in third here last time and is entitled to improve for the fitting of first-time cheekpieces. Paddy Mulligan was having his first start since February when seventh at Uttoxeter last time and could also take a hand with that run now behind him.

DOMINADA failed to win in eight starts on the Flat but he struck in style on his hurdling debut at Uttoxeter earlier this month, making every yard of the running and returning a seven-length winner. A big run from the front could be on the cards once again. John Ferguson representative Mountainside showed promise on the Flat and looks the main danger now debuting over hurdles. Any money for Chic Name would also be notable.

VIEUX LION ROUGE stayed on strongly to making a winning start to his chasing career at Towcester last month and is expected to follow up under a penalty. Aalim attracted support at Worcester last time and is entitled to build on that outing considering it was his first start since December. Dontupsettherhythm needs to build on his latest effort at Cartmel in order to figure but makes most appeal of the remainder.

Ballycamp has been knocking on the door and has an obvious chance if building on his recent Southwell second over this shorter trip. Of more interest, however, is ANTONY, who bolted up by nine lengths over 2m3f at Fontwell last time out and rates the one to beat now turned out swiftly under a penalty. Ruaraidh Hugh has been raised 8lb for his course victory two weeks ago but cannot be left out of calculations either.

Itsuptoyou finished third at Worcester on his latest start and must be taken seriously, but JACK ALBERT brings winning form over C&D to the table and can be forgiven his latest Aintree flop over hurdles. Reverting to fences for this assignment, Dianne Sayer's charge won a Kelson handicap by 11 lengths last month and should take the world of beating if arriving in a similar mood. Tregaro is another expected to go close.

THE PURCHASER made all in good style to record his first career success over the extended 2m6f trip here last month and he gave the impression that the step up in distance would suit. It could be that his maiden triumph has been the making of him and a 4lb weight pull in favour of Thoresby (second) might not be enough to see Ben Case's charge reverse the form. Royalracket is holding his form well and wouldn't be winning out of turn.

JUNIOR PACKAGE represents a powerful yard on his racecourse debut and, a relatively cheap purchase at 9,000 pounds, he's the first foal out of an unraced half-sister to useful stable companion Swing Bowler and smart bumper/hurdle winner Red Sherlock. Expected to have been well readied, he is one of just two David Pipe runners on the card and he has been found a decent opening. Twosons and Mr Kite rate best of the rest.
