L'INGANNO FELICE was a useful performer on the Flat and has seemingly followed on in the same vein over hurdles having won over C&D last month and he can take advantage of what looks a fairly below-average contest for the grade. Tayzar can benefit from the drop back down in trip on his second outing after a wind operation, while Mac Tottie can take a step forward after his hurdling debut at Uttoxeter.

Bardd was in with every chance when falling at the last at Huntingdon on his last start but is respected here with Nicky Henderson operating at a 46% strike-rate in the last fortnight. Gran Maestro is more than capable of bouncing back to form here but preference is for MR KITE. A winner at Musselburgh last March on good ground, he has those conditions for the first time since which could eke out improvement.

This looks a good opportunity for ELKSTONE to finally get off the mark at the 24th attempt. Despite failing to get his head in front, his form has been reliable which cannot be said for any of his rivals and it would be disappointing were he not able to win such a contest. Grow Nasa Grow and Larkhall look the only pair capable of giving the selection a race if they run to their best.

EQUUS AMADEUS was third in a valuable handicap at Sandown last month and should appreciate these calmer shores. This stiffer test on better ground also promises to suit Tom Lacey's charge, who has more scope than most in this field at the age of just five. Royal Village needs a market check on debut for Ian Williams, who won this prize in 2016, while Wynford tries blinkers for the first time at the foot of the weights for Dan Skelton.

Zamparelli romped home by eight lengths over a similar trip at Stratford last time and his 11lb rise appears warranted. Narrow preference, however, is for LORD BRYAN, who has been in great order from the front when winning at Hereford and Chepstow the last twice and could feasibly complete a hat-trick. Course winner Tangolan has been active between the flags recently and is worth a market check now returned to racing under Rules.

Course winner CUSHEEN BRIDGE took a step in the right direction when second over 3m at Southwell last month and is expected to remain competitive off an unchanged mark. Agamemmon attracted support when fifth over 2m4f at Bangor in November and promises to be suited by this stiffer test on his return to action. Powerful Symbol makes some appeal for a place on his distance victory at Doncaster in December.

FORGOT TO ASK was fourth at Newbury in January and took a forward step when third in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Uttoxeter last time. Tom George's charge is expected to improve for this stiffer test and rates the one to beat on these terms. Holryale and Telegraph Place showed enough on their latest runs at Fontwell and Fakenham, respectively, to contest the minor money.
