MULBERRY HILL took a step forward on her second start for this yard when winning in good style at Worcester last month and the five-year-old may be capable of continuing her progression under a 7lb penalty. Dazzling Glory was last seen making a winning hurdling debut at Hexham in April and cannot be discounted on her return, while the Alan King-trained Haseefah makes her first start over obstacles and is also worthy of respect.

An intriguing contest which features the highly promising CARAMELISED, who attempts to extend his unbeaten record to three having been mightily impressive when winning at Stratford last month. The Alan King-trained colt may prove too strong for Sacre Pierre, who has also created an excellent impression in notching two wins from as many starts over hurdles, while Scots Gold makes just his second start over obstacles and has the potential to step up.

REGABY had plenty in hand when winning at Hexham on his penultimate start and, having been pulled up after his jockey encountered tack issues at Worcester last time, the Ian Williams-trained gelding is tipped to make amends on this occasion. Trumps Benefit has proven himself more adept over fences and looks set to go well after failing to fire over hurdles on his latest start, while Railway Muice was successful at Kilbeggan earlier this month and might not be far away on his first start for this yard.

15:55 Market Rasen (Class 3) (4YO plus)

OSCAR MONTEL bumped into a progressive rival when finishing second at Worcester on his latest start and the seven-year-old makes the most appeal as he attempts to register his second win over fences. Gortroe Joe ran well over hurdles at Perth when last seen in May and looks one of the more likely candidates, while Buster Thomas makes his first start after receiving a wind operation and also makes the shortlist.

HANG IN THERE arrives in tremendous form, winning readily at Stratford either side of a narrow defeat here, and Emma Lavelle's charge could defy a further 5lb rise to strike again. The son of Yeats has struck up a great relationship with 10lb conditional Joe Anderson and another bold bid beckons from the front. Rowland Ward (fourth) and Scarlet Dragon (fifth) are closely matched on their Haydock clash in May and both warrant respect, while Ingleby Hollow certainly isn't out of it either.

17:00 Market Rasen (Class 5) (3YO plus)

Low Profile built on his course fourth when runner-up at Hexham and any further improvement could see him figure on handicap debut, but NEAR KETTERING rates the one to beat. He justified strong market support when winning easily over course and distance last month and a 10lb hike in the ratings might not be enough to anchor him if arriving in the same mood. The Raven's Return also merits consideration with Brian Hughes aboard.

ULTIMATE FAME stepped up on her debut success when runner-up last time (both at Stratford) and the form of that latest effort looks rock solid with the horse immediately behind, Strensham Court, successful twice since. Fergal O'Brien's mare remains open to further improvement and can make it third-time lucky, possibly at the main expense of Tearaway Tilly, who placed at Stratford on debut, and Kevin Brogan's mount Khilwafy.
