Mystery cannot be easily discounted on his return, especially if attracting market support. A safer bet, however, is Ferdy Murphy's WINDS SUPREME who has 5lb-claimer P J McDonald back in the saddle, and who's three wins have all come in the mud. Heisse is worthy of respect in this company and is another entitled to play a part in the finish.

A wide open contest and there's plenty to consider including last-time winners Custom Design and Moyne Pleasure. Both are likely to find this much tougher, though, and preference is for improving juvenile EVER SPECIAL, who landed a decent handicap at Leicester earlier in the month. He looks set for a fifth career success if putting his recent below-par C&D effort behind him. Hawk's Landing is potentially well handicapped and has to make the short-list.

It could be worth chancing LE JOYEUX as he reverts to the larger obstacles. His earlier ventures over fences were short-lived, with two uncompleted efforts, but he's hinted at ability in staying hurdle races this term and could be a different proposition back over fences this afternoon. American President and It's Bertie could prove the biggest dangers.

Sue Smith's veteran Supreme Breeze has not been at his best of late but continues to slide down the weights and may take a hand in the finish if regaining some sort of form. Preference, however, is for Ferdy Murphy's unexposed French aquisition ORKI DES AIGLES who proved his staying chase credentials with two sound efforts at Kelso last month. There could be much more to come from him and the likes of Fullards and Tommy Carson may have to settle for a place.

Blackergreen was useful over timber but has looked less than fluent so far over fences and remains opposable in this grade. In contrast, Jonjo O'Neill's DIGITAL FORTRESS has relished the larger obstacles and pushed Copper Bay to within a length on his debut at Leicester earlier this month. He's back up to 3m today but should have the stamina required to see out the trip. Significant market support for chasing debutant Malmo Boy would be of interest.

CAMDEN GEORGE's bumper form sets the standard here and he produced a very respectable effort when second on his hurdling debut and seasonal reappearance here last month. Expected to strip much fitter for that run, he could make light work of his rivals this afternoon. Elsewhere, Pencil House appears to want better ground, but The Hero Sullivan is clearly improving and could be the one for the forecast.

STOLEN MOMENTS has plenty of scope after finishing a close-up second on his hurdling bow. He shouldn't have too many problems confirming recent Wetherby form over Lambrini Legend with that debut experience under his belt. Our Jasper, who fell at the third-last in the above race, shaped well at Catterick last time and could go close if staying on his feet this time.
