LUCKY ROBIN was far from disgraced when posting an encouraging second over fences at this course last month. The nine-year-old gelding is only 1lb lower than his last win over hurdles, which came at Sedgefield in September, and he gets the vote to strike returning to this sphere. Presuming Ed has been holding is form well and he is feared most as he drops into the selling company, while a case can also be made for The Twisler.

DUKE OF ROCKINGHAM caught the eye when making up plenty of late ground to finish second at Lingfield last month, and he can build on that experience to gain his first win over timber. Lydford commands respect after his win at Southwell but he might find things a little tougher as he shoulders a 7lb penalty for that success, while Charlie's Glance shaped with promise when finishing fourth on his hurdles debut at Newbury.

TOKAY DOKEY took a step in the right direction when finishing second at Warwick earlier this month. That form has subsequently been franked by the winner and the seven-year-old gelding looks to have been found an ideal opportunity to earn his breakthrough win over fences. Fabrique En France ran well for a long way when he posted an encouraging second on his chase debut at Chepstow and he could find further improvement having his second run after wind surgery, while Sambezi completes the shortlist.

SEVEN NO TRUMPS made light of his initial mark on his chasing debut at Lingfield, coasting home with any amount up his sleeve. He looks a decent prospect and is fancied to defy a 9lb hike. Omar Maretti is the one having his first taste of handicaps now and tries the bigger obstacles for the first time following a couple of Catterick novice hurdle triumphs early in the year. Fugitives Drift found a competitive Sandown event all too much but cannot be written off just yet.

SIDI ISMAEL has taken his game to a new level since joining David Pipe and supplemented a Lingfield hurdling success when making a winning start to life over fences at Wetherby. He stuck to his guns well so can handle the rise from 3m. Cobra De Mai was a surprise second on that same Wetherby card, although Cash To Ash is a more resolute stayer and looks the primary threat. Who's In The Box won this 12 months ago, but hasn't been anywhere near that sort of form this time around.

Daire Davis got a good tune out of Made For You at Leicester, while Midnight Ginger also arrives in winning form after springing back into life over the extended 2m here. Better was expected of Master Blaze on his British bow and he can't be ruled out, but POTENZA may be the best treated. Since joining Harry Eustace, the five-year-old has made good strides on the level and he is rated 83 in that sphere so a NH figure of 113 should be well within his compass.

Fox's Socks' successful handicap debut at Uttoxeter probably helped to persuade Alex Hales to fork out 20,000 pounds for him, and he is very much respected on his first start for his new stable. He has been off since July, though, whereas SON OF THE SOMME has the benefit of a recent run under his belt after going close on his Doncaster return, a performance which suggested there are handicaps to be won with him. Keeper Chris was still bang there when coming down on Town Moor and compensation should await before too long.
