There have been some useful winners of this in the past and BENNY'S BRIDGE, who scored here in a bumper on similar going, could be another handy victor if leaving his Imperial Cup run on holding ground in the past. He was a winner of a decent handicap in taking fashion at Cheltenham before that and could be very tough to beat switching to novice company. Yaa Salaam fared well behind two respectable opponents when third at Ffos Las on his UK debut and could have more to come, while Rockwood is an interesting recruit from the Flat who could surprise.

BUBBLES OF GOLD has made the podium the last twice over three miles and the point winner could be suited by the drop back to an intermediate trip as he looks to open his Rules account in first-time cheekpieces. Lady Camelot has picked up a silver medal on her last two outings and is respected receiving heaps of weight off her rivals here, while Imperial Elixir has proved to be slightly disappointing so far and looks to need improvement now to play a telling part.
This shorter trip isn't sure to suit BUBBLES OF GOLD, but his form reads well and a positive ride should see him open his account under Rules. Lady Camelot is the obvious threat in receipt of plenty of weight.

TORRENT DES MOTTES opened his account at the 15th attempt with an emphatic victory at Huntingdon last week and John Cornwall's eight-year-old will be hard to stop under a 7lb penalty if in the same form this time. The consistent Quantum Of Solace could only manage to finish fourth when tackling a career-high rating last time, but would be foolish to completely ruled out. The most likely challenge to the selection may come from Taunton winner Royal Act and Nikki Steel, who returns from an absence off the same mark as when third to Dark Invader at Ffos Las last June and is better off with that rival now.
TORRENT DES MOTTES is bred to make a chaser and duly produced a much-improved performance when winning on his second start in this sphere at Huntingdon last week. A penalty shouldn't be enough to prevent a follow up if in similar form. Quantum of Solace should run well again and is next best ahead of Royal Act.

STAR FOOT did it well here seven days ago and could still be ahead of the assessor under a 7lb penalty. The eight-year-old shouldn't be deterred by this extra couple of furlongs and can prove too good for Shanroe In Milan, who represents an in-form yard and handles varying ground. Iskabeg Lane has been holding his form well in recent weeks and could prove best of the remainder for Sue Smith.
