Sprinkler and Kimi should both improve and Onefourfun did just that at Warwick when grabbing second spot. But the fancy is that one of those yet to jump a hurdle in public and NEZ ROUGE can do the business here. That perennial early season fast starter Nigel Twiston-Davies is once again in flying form and his new acquisition can add to his tally.

With slightly misleading form figures Phoenix Eye might be worth taking on but if Brinkmanship can reproduce his run here in August then he must have a shout. Tony Carroll holds a strong hand with both Pips Assertive Way and MEADOW HAWK. The latter has looked a much better horse this term with some really solid efforts and can get back to winning ways here.

Presenting Jack has a squeak and, having won here earlier this month, Double Deputy has claims. Irish import The Sliotar finished a decent second at Uttoxeter last time but the Steve Gollings-trained OSAKO D'AIRY gets the nod. He is returning to hurdling after a sojurn over fences and can make his return a winning one.

Vintage Gold has looked a better horse over fences but Rebel Raider won easily at Towcester last time. STORM OF APPLAUSE gets a huge weight swing from City Affair after finishing being behind Tim Vaughan's charge at Bangor and, with a win under his belt since that run, he can turn the tables here.

This could be another for the Twiston-Davies camp with GRENFELL looking capable of landing this. She steadily improved over fences last term and can make a winning reappearance. In Extra Time and Own Line come here on the back of recent disappointments and a bigger threat could be posed by Keltic Lord who was winning off a higher mark over fences last year.

Abutilon finally got his act together when winning at Fontwell last time and he can go close again, as can Physical Force who has a big chance judged on his latest victory. But this is threatening to turn into a one man show with Nigel Twiston-Davies again holding what looks like the ace card in ROWDY YEATS. Very solid efforts when sent off favourite in his last three runs last term, if fit from the summer break, he looks the one to beat.
