A very competitive race for the time of year but the most interesting one is ERAGON DE CHANAY. The son of Racinger bolted up on his debut in the French provinces back in March and, while that race may not be the strongest, he could have any amount of ability. City Dreamer and Crucial Moment are others who have to carry a penalty and that could leave them vulnerable. Amadeus Rox represents a yard who always do well in this sphere and he was not beaten far at all on his hurdling debut. Others to note are Ortenzia and Glorvina.
ORTENZIA was a fair performer on the level in France and shaped well on her respective yard/hurdles debut at Worcester 4 weeks ago, finding only one too good. Highly likely to improve, she gets the nod to make it second time lucky in receipt of weight all round. Eragon de Chanay scored easily on his debut in France last spring and is interesting, as is Amadeus Rox, in a competitive event.

MOUNTAIN PATH bumped into a useful Flat recruit when finishing second on her hurdles debut at Worcester last month and she is taken to go one better this afternoon. Runasimi River was running rather disappointingly prior to falling at Sedgefield last time out but she has to be respected based on her Southwell victory two starts ago. Apache Song and Thelunarschooner are others to note.
THELUNARSCHOONER boasts plenty of potential for jumping having made a successful start for Warren Greatrex in a bumper at Newton Abbot and looks the way to go. Mountain Path, Apache Song and Molly Childers can all have cases made for them also though in what looks a competitive mares' novice hurdle.

THE DOORMAN bounced back to form when winning at Sedgefield earlier in the month and that form has already been boosted with the third winning since. Based on that evidence, a 6lb rise in the ratings may underestimate his ability. I'm An Izz Wizz has a strong chance based on his Wexford win back in July, while Better Days will be a threat if ready to go after a 138-day break.

Dan Skelton appears to have a very strong hand in his aim to have a crack at the trainers' championship and, of his trio, Red Tornado looks the pick of them having finished runner-up to John Constable over C&D in July and has the excellent James Bowen taking 7lb off. GET HOME NOW was an easy winner on his latest start at Fontwell when disposing of Ramore Will in excellent style by 18 lengths and the form has worked out a treat with that rival winning his next two starts. This looks good placement from connections in his bid for the hat-trick. Sailors Warn was in solid form earlier in the summer and looks the most likely threat if the selection underperforms, while Mahlerdramatic is capable of better than what he achieved last season.
GET HOME NOW has clearly been rejuvenated by the refitting of blinkers, and whilst the handicapper has had a say on the back of victories at Worcester/Fontwell, he looks sure to make a bold bid to land the hat-trick. Sailors Warn and the returning Mahlerdramatic are others to consider.
