HARSWELL PRINCE backed up his Hamilton success with a solid placed effort at Ayr and Billy Garritty's valuable claim could prove key as he bids to regain the winning thread. Beverage has been creeping down the handicap despite continuing to run well in defeat and she is unlikely to be far away at the finish, while Find A Penny also merits consideration switching back to turf following a close-up fourth at Wolverhampton.

BLACKBERRY made a big impression when winning her first couple of starts and not a lot went right for her when upped to Listed level at York latest, when the ground was softer than ideal and she didn't have the smoothest of passages. Back down in class and with the surface forecast to be quicker, she deserves another chance. Risk Of Thunder has struck the crossbar the last twice and has to enter the reckoning along with Furlong Factor, who can bounce back following a disappointing effort at Goodwood in July.

AMAZING ALBA has impressively notched a course-and-distance double and, despite having to shoulder a 5lb penalty for the latest of those victories, she could take some stopping in her bid to complete the hat-trick. Economic Crisis was only beaten three-parts of a length in a similar track-and-trip event last week and she could be in the firing line again, while Lyons Lane and Northern Society, who was third behind the selection latest, are others to watch out for.

BEECHWOOD JUDE caused a surprise when victorious on his reappearance at Catterick last month and the course winner is of real interest off a 3lb higher rating. That was his first appearance since a wind operation and the four-year-old should have no problem going up in trip as he looks for his third straight success in this sphere. Fiveandtwenty, representing the same ownership group was on the scoresheet on the same card, but has a bit to prove over this distance, while Squelch had won three-in-a-row before struggling at Salisbury last time and can figure if at his best.

LE CHIFFRE has been in fine form this season and it is interesting that David O'Meara now reaches for first-time cheekpieces for the three-year-old, who has threatened to land a third win of the campaign off this rating at Beverley the last twice. Harry Love benefitted from both a wind operation and a step up in trip when causing a surprise at the same aforementioned venue and is much more on the radar this time off a 4lb higher mark. Course-and-distance winner How Bizarre often saves his best for this track and was beaten less than a length when last seen. Copper And Five has shaped like a winner in waiting in his three appearances so far and is respected, with Mark Johnston's pair, Fred and Makyon, foolish to rule out.

BAWAADER built on a promising effort at Redcar when only beaten a neck at Hamilton last time and could be the answer on this occasion off just a 1lb higher mark. Chinese Spirit was a silver medallist when searching for back-to-back course victories last week and warrants plenty of respect off the same rating, while Mi Capricho is down to his last winning mark having won twice here in May 2019.

ELDELBAR has been holding his form well since striking over C&D in July and could appreciate the return to this venue as he bids to defy a 5lb higher mark. Chocoholic was thwarted by a short-head over this trip at Catterick last time and looks the main danger, despite being raised 2lb in defeat. Others to note are Southwell fourth Treasured Company, who drops back from 1m, and Talk Now, who is another C&D winner in the line-up.

In a moderate contest the marginal preference is for THE MACKEM TORPEDO, who put in a career best when finishing fourth in a similar contest over 1m1f here last month. The drop in trip should suit this daughter of Multiplex and she can get off the mark this evening. Josiebond is a 16-race maiden but both of her efforts this year have been encouraging, while Destination Aim completes the shortlist.
