CHEENI has been a model of consistency in 2017 and, despite not getting her head in front in 17 outings, looks to have been found the ideal opportunity to finally get off the mark. Hadley has been knocking on the door recently and has been dropped 2lb which gives him solid credentials, while See Vermont returned to somewhere near his best last time at Beverley and a repeat of that would see him right there.

CAPE BUNTING made a successful start to her career when winning comfortably at Newmarket on debut and this half-sister to the 2015 Coventry winner Buratino is open to further improvement going forward. El Chapo ran well enough on debut when fourth to Learn By Heart at Doncaster and should take a decent step forward here, while Queen's Sargent ran well when back in third behind Zaman at York in May and is likely to improve for the extra furlong.

CHEMICAL CHARGE sets the clear standard on form and arrives off the back of a career best when third in the Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot behind Idaho and this appears to represent a simple enough task despite him having his quirks. Soldier In Action ran a fine race in defeat when runner-up in Saturday's Old Newton Cup and the quick turnaround shouldn't pose any concern, while Sir Chauvelin outran his odds in the Northumberland Plate and looks best of the remainder with the others all having something to prove.

Noel Wilson's LONGROOM has been raised a further 11lb by the assessor following his latest victory over course and distance last time. He has risen 24lb in the ratings since beginning his winning run and looks set to keep that going here having looked as good as ever last time. His stablemate Kinloch Pride can provide the main danger in receipt of a stone from the selection, and is a dual winner this term, while Silvanus sneaks onto the shortlist for handy sprint handler Paul Midgley.

INGLORIOUS and Rowan Scott almost landed a huge shock when second at Ayr at 66/1 at the weekend and are backed to go one better here off the same handicap mark. That was on the gelding's seasonal bow and he it looks like the close season gelding procedure has worked wonders for the horse's attitude and he is entitled to improve as the season progresses. Cyflymder has been kept busy of late and another consistent performance is expected here, while Echo Of Lightning is only 1lb higher than his last winning mark and is entitled to get involved from the head of the handicap.

DOMINATING's hat-trick bid ended in defeat at Haydock at the weekend but he is backed to get back on track here. Mark Johnston's three-year-old receives a healthy eight-for-age allowance and that should see him leave his rivals trailing here. Course and distance winner Stoneham looks the pick of the Iain Jardine pair and he can prove next best, while Yes Daddy returns to the level following a prolonged spell running under National Hunt Rules.

Tracy Waggott's PERCY VERENCE was second off this mark two starts back at Redcar over further and was not disgraced at this distance at Beverley last time which suggests the four-year-old could be coming to the boil. Adrakhan was the selection's conqueror that day at the Teeside venue and is sure to play a part, while Ruth Carr's Tropical Bachelor is sliding down the ratings and is another considered.
