North Central was lightly raced as a juvenile and should be worth keeping a close eye on but form in the book is preferred and LEES ANTHEM is taken to confirm C&D form with Jigajig, who he got the better of in a thrilling battle over C&D last month. Only 4lb higher in the weights today, he looks up to winning again although the latter continues to improve and can be expected to prove a real thorn once more. Of the rest, the consistent Dower Glen makes most appeal.
This is something of a re-run of a handicap over C&D 3 weeks ago, when outsider Lees Anthem pipped Jigajig with Dower Glen third. Jigajig reopposes on worse terms, penalised for his win on Monday, and narrow preference here is for Dower Glen, who didn't get the rub of the green last time.

Roodee Queen has been kept busy already but has displayed plenty of promise in four starts so far and could have a race in her with similar comments applicable to Molly Mylenis. Kheya wasn't without support prior to her debut at Ripon last month but trainer Tim Easterby has his string in fine form at present and his charge, FAST SHOT, gets the tentative vote to improve upon his modest opening Newcastle effort.
Molly Mylenis has shown enough to suggest an ordinary maiden is within her reach and this looks her best opportunity to date. Fast Shot showed a little promise on his debut and looks best of the rest.

The rapidly improving Nufoudh looks to hold obvious hat-trick claims along with recent Thirsk runner-up Mr Lu but the one to beat would appear to be CAMEROONEY. Brain Ellison's 7-y-o was a narrow victor at Doncaster prior to narrowly missing out in a hotter race over C&D last time and he could prove hard to beat dropped in class under top-weight tonight.
Camerooney continued his upward curve in defeat over this C&D last month and can thwart the hat-trick-seeking Nufoudh.

Recent Hamilton victor Ingleby Star and Raccoon both come into this on the back of cracking recent efforts but it is hard to ignore the claims of STOLT. The 6-y-o is still more than capable of performing at a decent level, as illustrated by his fine fourth in a Class 4 handicap at Lingfield in February, and he could prove hard to beat here.
Ingleby Star and Mandarin Spirit have both advertised their wellbeing in recent days, but they meet both Raccoon and Stolt on worse terms than would be the case in a handicap. The vote just goes to Stolt, though with the probability of a battle for the lead this is a race in which to tread carefully.

JACKDAY was well backed to make a winning return to flat duty at Ripon two weeks ago and although the money was lost on that occasion, the 5-y-o can make amends this evening. Clearly thought good enough to win off his current mark, he isn't the most straightforward but looks to hold stand out claims here. Oddsmaker should have more to offer tonight having struggled at York last time with the returning Sonara rating best of the rest.
The presence of Forrest Flyer lessens the chance of Oddsmaker enjoying an uncontested lead, so it looks best to side with recent hurdles winner Danish Rebel, who looks on a good mark. Film Festival and Jackday can also make the frame.

A tricky looking finale but KILLING MOON has done nothing wrong of late, finishing second in each of his last two starts, and is fancied to make up for a narrow defeat at Thirsk six days ago. There are clearly races to be won with him and he races off the same mark tonight. Chinese Democracy finished a good second in a Salisbury claimer last time and looks an obvious danger with Ffos lad third Could It Be Magic making up the shortlist.
It's quite possible Chinese Democracy will take a further step forward having joined David Evans, but Killing Moon looks a sure-fire winner of handicaps from this mark, and is the one to side with. Market confidence behind Desert Forest should also be noted.
