FIRST BOMBARDMENT has been regressing from his good run in the Brocklesby in March but he has been given a break and returns in a weak race and so can be given one final chance. Searanger ran a good race on a his second start but hasn't shown anything like that in two runs since and a mark of 71 probably flatters him at this stage. The debutant Life of Fame wouldn't need to be a superstar to take this and the full-sister to Lightning Stride, a decent winning juvenile last season, can make her presence felt.

FIRST BOMBARDMENT showed some fair form earlier in the year, and although he wasn't at his best when last seen, he has been freshened up, so he is taken to belatedly get off the mark. Black Diamond Girl shaped better than the distance beaten in a maiden last time that is working out well, and may do better yet, while any market support for newcomer Life of Fame should be taken seriously.

Spirit Of The Vale has run respectably in three fair maidens and should step up on that now in nurseries and a mark of 62 gives her a chance. NOVINOPHOBIA ran a solid race when fifth in a good nursery at Glorious Goodwood and the second, seventh and ninth have all won since. This race is much weaker and he runs here off a 2lb lower mark. The other Fahey horse Mister Zoff is also one not to write off now trying handicap company for the first time.

Watch out for: Spirit Of The Vale (4)

MISTER ZOFF hasn't cut much ice in a trio of maidens, but this expensive purchase hasn't been unduly punished in any of his races and remains with potential, especially now entering nurseries from a lowly mark. Novinophobia, who ran respectably in a competitive Goodwood nursery last time, is feared most, while Sattelac also commands respect for his in-form yard.

SIX SILVER LANE has been running well in slightly better races than this in Ireland and although he is probably better on the all-weather he is a dual winner on turf and can add to that tally today. The O'Meara-trained Dont Tell Chris is likely to be popular again after starting favourite for his handicap debut at Wetherby last month. That run was slightly disappointing and he's probably going to be a shorter price than he should be because of the stable he hails from. Mon Gris and Mowhoob should run their usual decent races as well.

Tourtiere has returned to the Flat in the form of his life after a spell over hurdles. A 7lb rise for an easy win over course and distance earlier this month should not hold him back from making another bold bid. However, he may struggle against the three-year-old NO BACKCHAT, who got bogged down in soft ground last time and if he gets a better surface today, can make his presence felt. Love Marmalade and Northside Prince should both run their races but could do with dropping a few pounds in the handicap to be ultra competitive.

Ifwecan always runs his race but, as a result, he never gets any help from the handicapper and once again there will probably be others with more movement in their marks. SPRING OFFENSIVE has been running respectably in decent three-year-old handicaps recently. He didn't stay the 1m2f at Goodwood before stumbling and his rider losing his whip on his last start. Camakasi is the unknown quantity on his first start outside of Ireland. Rodrigo De Torres is seeking a four-timer but his winning run started off a mark of 63 and he now runs off 84 and this is the best race he's contested in a long time.

DESIRE won well last time and her rider's valuable 3lb claim negates half of her 6lb penalty for that win. The other first time out winner in the field, Charava, is the main danger, following his narrow victory at Ayr a few weeks ago. A 5lb rise is probably on the harsh side given the winning margin was just a head, which leaves him vulnerable to Desire. Starshaped and Can You Reverse are others to consider.
