INVESTMENT EXPERT put in a dogged performance to win a maiden over C&D last time and looks the one to side with now entering handicap company. Jeremy Noseda boasts a 24 per cent strike-rate on the July Course over the last five years and this gelding appears to have enough potential to capitalise here. Richard Hannon is impossible to ignore in these contests and Brownsea Brink, who showed improvement despite finishing third on his handicap debut, should be thereabouts off the same mark. Ian Williams picked up this event two years ago and his representative, Mandy's Boy, could represent some each-way value.

TOOFI cost 220,000 dollars and his debut run wasn't a bad effort, especially considering the runner-up has gone on to win since. He holds all manner of marque entries later in the season and looks like he will be winning soon. Another high class contender is Music Theory, who cost 150,000gns as a yearling and ran with great promise on debut at Nottingham. Richard Hannon's Showpiece looked like he didn't quite stay 7f last time so this drop back puts him in with a good shout.

SHIFTING POWER travelled strongly before putting his rivals to the sword at Sandown last time. His superiority that day was plain to see and it is hard to oppose him here. Another Sandown winner, Emirates Galloper, was far less straightforward when running green on debut but he flew from off the pace and cannot be discounted with that experience under his belt. Treaty Of Paris pulled a good five lengths clear when scoring at Pontefract and his Salisbury second two starts ago is working out well, while Fire Fighting is the most experienced and won very well at Epsom last time.

LEVI DRAPER is bidding for a five-timer and most pleasing about his recent Yarmouth success was the fact he pulled a good way clear with his main rival. The five-length winning margin suggests he will handle the 6lb rise and the the eye-catching jockey booking of Richard Hughes inspires further confidence. Kakatosi has run creditably in defeat the last twice and he can be competitive off this mark, as can Bravo Echo who comes here after a win on fibresand in France and a couple of promising runs at Goodwood.

GABRIAL THE DUKE was four lengths clear of the third horse at Chepstow last time when running under penalty and this looks a decent opportunity for a horse that appears to be going in the right direction. Getaway Car ran on well last time at Wolverhampton to claim third place and is on a handy mark if getting the run of the race. Duchess Of Gazeley carries a penalty following a handy success on the all-weather at Lingfield last time and should have her say again.

JUBILANT QUEEN has looked much better at 6f on her last two runs and there does appear to be improvement in the daughter of Kyllachy. She won't mind a bit of rain to ease conditions and she is fancied to go close. Tychaios entered handicap company in the best way possible when winning a Windsor contest last time out and he should go close. Sakhee's Rose has put in a couple of decent efforts the last twice and is fancied to make the frame.
