GORE POINT had every chance when left in front at Stratford on his penultimate start but there was no doubting his superiority when running out a comfortable winner over C&D 10 days ago. A 6lb rise doesn't appear likely to be an inconvenience for Anthony Honeyball's gelding, who can prove too strong for recent Worcester runner-up Miss Denver. Manyana Blue is an interesting recruit to chasing with the weight-for-age allowance.

God Of Fire didn't quite build on his first run over hurdles when weakening into fourth at Hereford and clearly has had his issues since, with this being his first appearance since April 2025. Although he sets the standard over timber, a chance is taken with JASPER GLORY. Third in his sole point-to-point outing in April, he has since joined Dan Skelton and may have a decent opportunity to make a winning start under Rules. Maria Mes is preferred over Little Twig of the remainder.

Saucats arrives following a recent C&D success and is likely to enter calculations after going up 3lb. The veteran Coup De Gold won here over shorter last month and cannot be discounted once again, but a chance is taken with RAFFLES NOBU. Nick Scholfield's gelding was runner-up to a subsequent winner at Stratford last time and is capable of going one better.

ELLERTON switches to fences for this assignment and must have a great chance judged on recent form over timber at this venue. A win and second-placed effort here in May suggests he's on good terms with himself and he's taken to edge out Limerick Leader, who doesn't know how to run badly and won here last summer. The Gypsy Davey and It's A Breeze can fight it out for third.

MUSKERRY ROCK posted two solid efforts in second when sent over timber last month and the switch to fences may work the oracle for Dan Skelton's charge, who won a hunter chase at Wexford in May. Presentandcounting has a bit of back class and cannot be overlooked in a race like this, while Slaney Opera is also one to note.

PARK HALL created a sound impression when winning on her Rules bow over C&D last month and the Irish point-to-point winner can remain unbeaten for leading connections. Thepassingtyphoon also scored over track and trip and cannot be taken lightly, while Company Charge is a newcomer to note for team Twiston-Davies and Bath Taverness showed a bit more at Chepstow last time.
