Pearl Of Qatar was a 5f winner on debut and dropping back in trip should suit, but she faces a tough task having to concede weight to her rivals, so preference is for POETRY. Michael Bell's charge may have disappointed slightly at Newmarket last time, but showed enough potential on debut when second, and Andrea Atzeni is a top jockey booking. Orange Blossom was pitched into Listed company on her introduction and is respected, while Clive Cox's 100,000-euro newcomer Reticent Angel has to be given a market check.

JAMES STREET looked a useful prospect when getting off the mark at the second attempt at Doncaster and the 130,000gns purchase can follow up at the main expense of Lahessar, who will need to build on his outings so far. Market checks on the Royal newcomer Regular, and the Acclamation colt Qutob are advised.

URBAN ASPECT was strong at the finish when winning over the extended 7f at Chepstow and he should be even better stepping up in trip. A half-brother to John Quinn's useful stayer Look My Way, he looks a useful prospect. Chippie Hill justified skinny odds when making a winning debut at Yarmouth, while Carlisle second Bin Makfi will be a lot shorter in the betting this time around and shouldn't be far away.

SEABOROUGH won cosily over this C&D last time and Alan King's gelding can go well under a 6lb penalty. Blinkers could help Roger Varian's Ripon second Gift Of Raaj, who has also been gelded in the interim, while others to note include the consistent frame hitter Casina di Notte and Scott Dixon's recent track and trip winner Thundercloud, who has a 5lb higher mark to contend with.

RAVEN BANNER has been a very consistent performer throughout 2018 and arrives having won her last two starts at Doncaster and Epsom. A 3lb rise for a short-head beating of Top Beak looks very fair and she can complete the hat-trick. A drop in trip could suit Cacophonous, who was pulled up on his handicap debut over 1m4f but is expected to better that effort, while Michele Strogoff must be respected shouldering a 6lb penalty for his Pontefract triumph.

Several of these run under penalties having won in the last 10 days and preference is for JASHMA, who won in good style at Ffos Las recently and looks likely to continue that form. Classic Pursuit was part of Mick Appleby's four-timer on Sunday at Pontefract and is respected turned out quickly, while Ladweb ran well at Brighton behind Marie Of Lyon last September and is on a fair mark if ready to roll after 318 days off.

Bailarico has gone unbeaten in four starts for Warren Greatrex and the Lambourn handler has secured the services of Andrea Atzeni in the saddle. He has cheekpieces reapplied but has been raised 17lb since joining the yard and could come unstuck against PRAECEPS. Sir Mark Prescott's gelding got off the mark at Salisbury when winning in good style and the extra couple of furlongs can see him improve again. Methag won when last seen on the Flat at Doncaster and completes the shortlist.
