RASHFORD'S DOUBLE has improved significantly for the step up to a mile on his last couple of starts at Newcastle and a 6lb rise may yet underestimate Richard Fahey's charge. Ettihadi is a half-brother to Exospheric and is entitled to improve for the first-time cheekpieces on his nursery debut with Josephine Gordon claiming a valuable 3lb. Others to consider include Tap Tap Boom and Phoenix Dawn.

Crowned Eagle looks to set the form standard on his C&D third here but he is more likely to improve for a step up in distance next season so preference goes to John Gosden's other runner GRACIOUS DIANA, who is a half-sister to the smart Dandino and is an interesting contender getting weight from the opposite sex. Alshibaa is a well-bred individual who is related to Group 1 performers and is entitled to take a step forward, while Daira Prince should benefit from better ground than he encountered on debut at Yarmouth.

Plenty of interesting debutants line up here with some nice pedigrees on offer with preference going to ZEELANDER. Roger Varian's charge is a full-brother to Group 3 winner Danadana and will be more suited to a mile than most of his main rivals which are headed by the John Gosden trained Wasatch Range, who is a well-related colt and merits consideration, while Big Challenge and Stone The Crows are two others of note.

MAAREK hasn't tasted victory since landing the Beverley Bullet last season but he has kept very good company since and looks a major force to be reckoned with now eased into handicap company. The popular nine-year-old won the l'Abbaye over this trip three years ago, oozes back-class and will relish any cut in the ground. Double Up needs things to drop right but rates better than the bare margins of defeat suggest the last twice. A big from Demora would also come as no surprise, despite her flopping in the Catterick Dash.

Appleberry commands respect on the back of landing a C&D victory from Silken Skies off 4lb lower last time, though preference is for NEW ROAD SIDE, who hasn't been hit hard for his head victory over track and trip latest and could feasibly defy a 2lb rise. Rosina rattled the crossbar at Newcastle last time and should go well following a 1lb rise, while it is possible first-time cheekpieces could unlock improvement from Straightothepoint.

Ballesteros returned to winning ways at Catterick last time and remains fairly treated on his best form, despite carrying a penalty. However, there are a number of interesting opponents to consider too in an open heat. Money Team is expected to improve for the step back from 6f and any money for Irish grade-dropper Athas An Bhean would be notable. Preferred ahead of all, however, is ORIENT CLASS, who has edged up only 1lb for rattling the crossbar over track and trip three weeks ago.

A number of these look to have chances, so MO HENRY receives what can only be a tentative vote. He represents a shrewd Irish stable whose runners always warrant respect when shipped across the pond and a game victory at Dundalk last week shows him to be in good form. Danny Sheehy's valuable 7lb claim cancels out his burden of top weight and he gets the vote to see off Jacob's Pillow, who has been hammering on the door, and Chelmsford scorer Horsforth.

BOLLIHOPE remains in good form despite only managing fifth when bidding to complete the hat-trick at Kempton last week and, racing off a 3lb lower mark with leading amateur Simon Walker in the plate, he looks sure to mount a bold bid. Bahamian C has been knocking on the door and is likely to be in the shake-up again, while Favorite Girl cannot be ruled out either.
