AMBER DEW made a debut full of promise at Newmarket's Craven meeting, finishing fourth despite showing clear signs of inexperience. The outing will have brought her on considerably, and Ryan Moore keeps the partnership intact. Pink Storm will have given her connections some encouragement with her initial effort to make the frame at Newcastle. Fabiosa was a promising fourth at Windsor, while Richard Hannon is responsible for two of the newcomers, of which Kodias Sangarius is the pick.

Sun Festival has been turned over at odds-on on each of his last two appearances, including on his comeback at Kempton. That will have blown away any cobwebs but he may have to settle for another supporting role, this time behind SIR RUMI. The 160,000-euro Gleneagles colt displayed great potential to take fourth in the Wood Ditton, and he is expected to step forward from it. His stable companion Royal Tribute showed a decent level of ability as a juvenile, while Alhezabr is a newcomer to keep an eye on.

Roman Mist has been threatening to break through since going handicapping, although the assessor is doing her no favours. Divine Magic also has a recent run under her belt, but so does fellow handicap debutant PUY MARY, who hardly set the world alight at Newmarket but could take advantage of an initial mark of 68. Run This Way signed off 2020 with a solid Haydock second, but this is the quickest ground she will have encountered.

Poet's Lady was backed down to favouritism for the Spring Mile at Doncaster and while she couldn't justify it, there was plenty of encouragement to take from her performance. Even so, LIGHTS ON may have that little bit more untapped potential because Sir Michael Stoute's filly only tasted competitive action four times during her first campaign, finishing no worse than third, and there is definitely more to come from her. Royal Dynasty knuckled down well to triumph at Chelmsford, and Newmarket fourth Madame Tantzy isn't out of it either.

A La Voile and Mostly are unexposed fillies from powerhouse yards, and the latter's Kempton success gives her an edge in fitness. It may still be safest to side with the proven quality of FREYJA, who graduated from handicap company to deny seasoned campaigner Air Pilot in a Newmarket Listed heat, and might have been over the top when struggling at Doncaster afterwards. Black Lotus is interesting on her second in the John Musker at Yarmouth, and Arriviste has also held her own in smart company.

LOSTWITHIEL made it two from two with a convincing victory at Wolverhampton, keeping on well under a penalty to score by the best part of three lengths. George Boughey's four-year-old appears set to enhance his reputation now stepping up in trip on his handicap debut. Hochfeld is a useful performer over these staying distances and is just 2lb higher than for his most recent success, while Monsieur Lambrays' best would give him a chance on his return from 235 days off.

ASADJUMEIRAH built on some encouraging early performances when opening his account on his final start of 2020. The Adaay colt should have plenty more to come and is backed to take revenge on Shalaa Asker, who accounted for him at Chelmsford in September, as he makes his handicap bow. Shalaa Asker still has to be respected having rattled the crossbar over track and trip, then going on to place at Thirsk off this rating. Fighter Pilot is also noted following a clear-cut success at Southwell in December.
