Modest fare but ZAFFATURE looks to hold strong claims having turned in a string of fine efforts lately and she is taken to open her account. Far from disgraced when only finding one too strong at Wolverhampton last month, she is preferred to the dropped in class Magneto and the once-raced Indigo Ink.

The Godolphin juvenile team have been in terrific form of late and Burj Nahar looks a likely candidate on debut along with another newcomer, the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Highland Park. Pytheas sets the standard on form having registered another runner-up effort at Newcastle two weeks ago but he is becoming frustrating and preference is for PALIO SQUARE who looks to be going the right way having taken a significant step forward when a close fourth in a decent event at Warwick on his latest start back in August.

A typically competitive sprint handicap to get to the bottom of but NAMIR did little wrong when only finding one too strong at Goodwood at the beginning of the month and having dropped to a favourable mark at present, he is fancied to make use of today's plum draw and resume winning ways. Taurus Twins has been running well in defeat of late and holds obvious claims in this company with the consistent Mazzola rating best of the rest.

Make My Dream has been in good heart of late and takes the eye here along with Nickel Silver, who has been running well of late, and Magical Speedfit who was a winner at Brighton last time. However, BRAVELY produced a much improved effort when second in a well contested affair at Pontefract nine days ago and a repeat performance would give him sound claims here.

14:45 Nottingham (Class 6) (3YO plus)

Arab League has been progressing nicely but a 5lb rise in the weights for his 1/2-length defeat of Bugsy's Boy over 2m at Newbury earlier this month makes life tougher. Mark Tompkins has his team in good order at present and OUTLAND is no exception. He found only Unawatuna too good over 2m at Newcastle latest and can go one better today. Calculating and Kokkokila merit the utmost respect.

OBSERVATORY STAR posted a decent effort in a well contested York handicap last month and, with the return to this trip sure to suit, a bold bid can be expected. Kiwi Bay has been in good heart in recent months and should continue to give a good account. Brasingaman Hifive could also take a hand if returning to his best form.

Aspro Mavro was bitterly disappointing when odds-on favourite in a Kempton maiden last month and he has something to prove after that so preference is for BIG BAY who contested the Britannia handicap at Royal Ascot on his latest outing and could prove a cut above these rivals back in maiden company. Tafaool rates an obvious danger with improvement likely.

TRES FROIDE won with plenty in hand under Emily Jones at Redcar over 1m2f earlier this month and a 9lb hike in the ratings might not stop her from following up. Hurricane Thomas was a shade disappointing last time but his previous form gives him leading claims here along with Bosamcliff who has been knocking on the door of late.
