The first division of a race that has been won by some useful types in the past, most notably Derby and Arc winner Golden Horn who took this on debut last year. DAQEEQ showed plenty of potential when third here three weeks ago and the winner of that race was well supported in the Racing Post Trophy at the weekend. Another runner who showed promise on debut here recently is Rainbow Dreamer, who is almost certain to improve for that first outing. Impediment and Perigee both represent powerful connections and must enter calculations.

So Celebre is the clear pick of those who have raced before, having taken a big step forward from his debut run to finish a narrow second at Leicester earlier this month. Despite that, he could prove vulnerable to some interesting newcomers. PALMERSTON is a half-brother to the Listed winner Martlet and hails from the family of Irish Oaks winner Margarula, while Raasmaal and Ice Galley are also interesting as they cost 160,000gns and 105,000gns respectively as yearlings.

A very poor race in which Q Ten Girl is the highest rated, although she has yet to prove her liking for the turf. Sky Ferry has been thereabouts in similar races to this in the past and shouldn't be discounted despite being a 10-race maiden. CUSTOM did hint that she could pick up a race or two when fourth at Salisbury two starts ago and while she was disappointing over 6f on Tapeta last time, and she can turn that form around back on turf.

A competitive event where DUAL MAC gets a tentative vote after performing better than his finishing position suggests in a competitive Redcar event earlier this month. Yeenaan could be a leading danger to the selection as he looks feasibly treated on some of his form from earlier in the season. Hot Mustard has benefitted from a change of scenery this term and can give another good account, while any market support behind the dropped-in-grade Our Boy Jack might be noteworthy.

AL didn't help his chances when racing keenly in the Melrose at York, but still emerges with plenty of credit, and could prove far too strong for these rivals. Cousin Khee is feared most as he was in great nick over hurdles before getting outclassed at Chepstow, and remains feasibly treated on the level. Azzir creeps in under a feather weight and could be a danger if building on his latest effort at Epsom.

KING CRIMSON was well on top when clashing with Indian Tinker at Brighton last time, and off just 1lb worse terms he can confirm his superiority over that rival and strike again. Robert Cowell's charge commands respect nonetheless, but the chief threat may come from Imperial Legend, who has been knocking hard on the door in recent weeks. Cruise Tothelimit and Oscars Journey are also worth a place on the shortlist.

OUTLAW TORN is turned out quickly under a penalty having shown plenty of guts when scoring over slightly shorter at Wolverhampton five days ago, and he looks the most solid option in a tricky race. Cabuchon ran out a cosy winner at Lingfield yesterday and should give another good account of himself while Schottische and Anginola also enter the reckoning.

Ivan Furtado has already proven himself to be a shrewd operator in his short training career to date and his MONOPOLI looks the one to side with. She didn't quite get home over 1m4f at Wolverhampton but drops back to her optimum trip off an attractive-looking mark. Ted's Brother was a shade disappointing at Leicester on Monday but is feared most on his previous form, though Nonagon and Falcon's Reign shouldn't be overlooked.
