FOREST DU PECOS AA (1) was unbeaten over fences until he was third behind SHIVA DE CANDALE AA (4) over 4200 metres at Mont-de-Marsan, but the shorter distance today should suit him better, and he can reverse the form. SHERKARA AA (6) has scored on the last two runs and can make the selection work hard. LOKI DE LA BRUNIE AA (3) was second in the same race behind SHIVA DE CANDALE AA (4) on November 15th and can also have a say at the business end.

FEUILLE VERTE (1) has been in decent shape of late with a win and three placed performances. Her latest third was at Lignieres late in November in a Class 3 cross-country. KANELLE COLLONGES (8) could be the main threat. She was a credible sixth in a competitive Class 2 cross-country at Compiegne in late October when last seen, and is capable of a good run. FIRST MARVEL (4) scored two runs back in a Class 2 cross-country and can make the top three. BUCK'S FIZZ (5) makes up the shortlist.

SOLEDAD NONANTAISE (2) scored at Fontainebleau by over two lengths 11 days ago in a claiming hurdle and should be good enough to follow up. BLUE ELIE (9) can make the selection work for success. She was a solid second in a claiming hurdle at Lyon Parilly on November 22nd. LA FELICITA (6) has shown talent in the three runs so far and can make the top three. TEUCH DAY (3) is better than his form figures and can not be ruled out of the frame.

INLANDSIS (3) has been highly tried since a good fourth on his debut at Auteuil over hurdles in September. His fourth at Compiegne in a Class 2 chase late in November was encouraging, and he can be too smart for SAINT GENY (8), who tries fences for the first time today. He scored over hurdles in May on debut and looks like the type to do well in this code. HELSINJO (2) finds it hard to run a bad race and looks solid each way. DIAMANT DU RHEU (4) is also worth a mention.

BEST SHALAA (6) produced a solid effort when finishing second in a Class 4 race at Marseille Pont-de-Vivaux earlier this month and is the tentative selection here. LOUIS SKI (4) ran a fair race when fifth over this course 16 days ago and can play a leading role. AL AAMRIYA (10) comes into the race off a respectable third-place finish at Toulouse and deserves consideration. SOLAIRE (15), well-positioned at the foot of the handicap, is also capable of having a say in the outcome.

MISS TAGADA (7) scored an impressive two-length victory on her sole flat start at Cluny in September and will be expected to follow up on her hurdling debut. MAIN TENDUE (3) should give the selection plenty to think about; she won on debut in June and followed up with a pleasing third at Senonnes in early July on the flat. MASSIA (6) has an appealing profile and is likely to be well prepared for her hurdling debut. MY LADY WILL (8) won on her debut on the flat late last month and should be well-tuned.

AVEL DE KERBARH (2) has been in good shape and is hard to look past after a decent third at Auteuil in a handicap chase late in October on the most recent start. KARNAVAL POINT (1) has not got the best form figures, but he is dropping in class, and he can make his rivals work hard. I RISK (4) arrives after three placed runs of late and looks like a solid option each-way. EMIR CHOP (3) looks best of the remainder.

POLO BABY (1) could be the solution to this open handicap despite having to concede weight all around. CHAAM (12) has been dropping down the handicap and is now racing off a workable mark, which could allow him to make things difficult for his rivals. RICHMOND (13) looks a solid each-way proposition after finishing fourth over this course 16 days ago. MA CHERIE AMOUR (14) also warrants consideration, having run well when third here on her most recent start.

ROYAL ETINCELLE (16) is not favourably drawn, but he will likely be ridden with some patience, and after several solid efforts of late, he can get another success. SOUND OF SILENCE (3) ran his best race to date when fourth at Deauville 8 days ago and can make things interesting. CHARM KING (7) ran well two runs back when fourth at La Teste in September and can be on the premises. HAUTE GAMME (6) looks best of the rest.
