IMPROVISATION, winner of a warm Newmarket maiden on the Flat, could hardly have been more impressive when winning on his NH debut at Huntingdon in May and looks more than up to successfully conceding weight to these rivals. Beaten a length by a subsequent Group 2 winner in a Goodwood maiden on the level, the son of Teofilo is clearly above average. Pershing and Lowanbehold can fight it out for the minor money.

St Maxime is very much a player if building on her latest third-placed effort at Downpatrick, but fellow Irish raider XAARCET is difficult to get away from. A winner off 7lb lower over hurdles at Fontwell when last sighted in April, Gordon Elliott's charge is lightly raced over fences and looks well worth sticking with now confidence has been restored. Course winner Bertie Milan and Hexham fourth Rev Up Ruby can also have their say.

The hat-trick-seeking Kilbree Kid is just 4lb higher than when beating a subsequent winner over C&D last month and boasts as good claims as any in his present mood. However, a chance is taken on BLESS THE WINGS, a Listed winner at Wetherby when trained by Alan King and attractively treated on the pick of his chase form. He finished behind the aforementioned Tom George inmate here last time out but a 4lb swing at the weights may just see him reverse those placings. Maggio rates best of the rest.

Veteran campaigner LOS NADIS showed no signs he was about to throw the towel in when finishing just three-quarters of a length behind Topper Thornton over 2m4f here last month and, off just 3lb higher, the C&D winner can take full advantage of the step back up in trip. Romany Ryme is probably the most interesting runner in the field making his debut for Gordon Elliott and the mount of Richard Johnson, while the unexposed Caledon Craic has finished second in outings at Punchestown and Roscommon the last twice and he's noted as well.

Won 12 months ago by Gordon Elliott courtesy of Top Chief, he can enjoy more success in the race on the assumption that AN CAPALL MOR will appreciate the drop into selling company. A four-length winner of similar contest at Uttoxeter last September, the four-time winner has ground conditions in his favour and a big performance looks assured. The Flaming Matron is another expected to go well now her sights are lowered and Bunclody won't be far away either.

BEIDH TINE ANSEO looked to be on good terms with himself when scoring with something up his sleeve at Kelso in May and that first career success over the larger obstacles will have given him a lot of confidence. Lucinda Russell's charge rallied to lead after the last over 2m1f that day, suggesting the step up in distance would suit, and the course winner is taken to go in again. Just Awake knows his way around here and is a player if over his Kelso fall in May, while Forestside is another to keep onside.

POLITENESS is lightly raced over hurdles and clearly saves his best performances for the summer months. A winner in June and July last year, he regained the winning thread in good style at Wetherby at the end of May and a mere 4lb rise in the weights might not be enough to halt the C&D winner's progress. Tangolan arrives on good terms with himself with a recent second-placed effort here confirming his win between the flags in May has given him fresh impetus, while The Ice Factor is also noted.
