GABRIAL THE GREAT, rated 93 on the level, has done enough in three hurdle starts to suggest he's capable of shouldering a double winner's penalty in a novice race of this nature. In what looks a match with Stratford winner Alphabetical Order, the talented son of Montjeu absolutely bolted up when last sighted at Market Rasen and the form of his hurdling debut second to Splash Of Ginge at Aintree is rock solid. Tim Vaughan's charge can build on his win at the Midlands venue and the dual bumper winner wouldn't be winning out of turn. Roll Of Thunder and The Village can battle it out for the minor money.

PUMPED UP KICKS arrives buoyed by her win between the flags in May and although she hasn't been seen under Rules since finishing a moderate fifth at Ballinrobe 12 months ago, she's interesting taking to fences for the first time and is expected to have been well prepared in the schooling ring at home. Humphrey Bee finished third over 3m here last time out and is capable of bettering that effort dropping in trip, while Lady Fingers can also make the frame.

RYTON RUNNER knows his way around here and is just 2lb higher than when finishing second over C&D in May. Lucinda Russell rarely leaves Perth empty handed and her Sadler's Wells gelding has won on good ground in the past. Rev Up Ruby is noted given the manner of her Hexham success 18 days ago and Diddley Dee rarely runs a bad race so he comes into the reckoning as well.

AIR CHIEF lost little in defeat when a nose second behind subsequent chase winner Mighty Whitey in a Hexham seller last month and he could prove capable of defying top weight here. One For Hocky remains unexposed with only six career starts under his belt and warrants plenty of respect dropping into selling company for the first time, while Bow School and Kayfrou make up the shortlist.

Dark Glacier is respected following his game Stratford success, but an 8lb rise looks harsh and preference is for FIVE STAR WILSHAM, who was sent off a shorter price in the same contest but fell with a circuit to go. That could turn out to be a blessing as he now meets Peter Bowen's charge on much better terms, and a repeat performance of his workmanlike Ffos Las victory before that will see him go very close. Call Box and Hero De Villeneuve are just a couple more with claims.

Super Collider has struck the crossbar on his last couple of starts and should give another good account, but TIRADIA shades the verdict. Each of his three performances so far this year have been to a fair standard, with his latest second subsequently franked by the winner, and the seven-year-old is a very rare runner for John Jenkins at this venue. Irish raider City Line is another to consider.
