Goodlukin Lucy warrants respect lining up off 8lb higher than when scoring at Wetherby in April with win and placed efforts on the Flat since showing she remains in good form, while Yes Daddy cannot be ruled out on his handicap debut. The vote, however, goes to hat-trick seeking MORNING TIME. He impressively notched up a Hexham double last month and looks capable of at least one more strike before the handicapper catches up with him.

Point-to-point runner-up Crookstown is sure to prove a popular selection representing the powerful Gordon Elliott/Tony McCoy combination, but ZIGGIE looks the safer option. A Hexham bumper winner, Donald McCain's charge still held a two length advantage when falling two-out on his hurdling debut over C&D last month and, providing that nasty experience hasn't knocked his confidence, he looks certain to go close today. Now I Win Again also merits consideration on her spin over timber.

Peter Bowen has his string in cracking order at present and it could be one of his new purchases, GREEN LIGHTNING, who lands the spoils in this contest. The Montjeu gelding was bought for 7,400gns out of Martin Weston's stable following an easy selling hurdle win at Newton Abbot recently and a 7lb penalty may not be enough to anchor him if arriving in the same mood today. Durrow point-to-point winner Massinimoss is most feared under McCoy, ahead of Kelso runner-up Academy.

It's difficult to look past the in-form ENDEAVOR. Three hurdles and a chase win already this year show that he's arriving here at the top of his game and a creditable spin on the level just short of three weeks ago will have kept his fitness ticking over. Toledo Gold comfortably won a novices' event over C&D two starts ago and merits consideration on his handicap debut, while the lightly weighted Lord Of Drums also has place credentials.

Hawaii Klass has definite claims if recapturing the form of his nine length C&D victory in May, but preference is for Lucinda Russell's new inmate BE MY DEPUTY. The eight-year-old son of Oscar notched up four wins earlier this year when with Richard Guest and has been handed a near ten-week break to fresh up. He ought to play a leading role with conditions to suit, while chances are also given to Passing Through and Sergeant Pink.

I'll Be Frank made a brave attempt to make all the running at Hexham latest and commands respect lining up off 2lb lower today (before Stephen Mulqueen's claim), but STRONGPOINT looks the one to beat. There was plenty to like about his runner-up finish behind the progressive Busted Tycoon (who has won again since) over C&D last time and he teams up with one of the best conditional jockeys' around today in Keith Donoghue. Reaping The Reward has a few question to answer after disappointing the last day.

Mr Satco was unable to build on his debut Kelso success when a soundly beaten third at Uttoxeter latest and he looks vulnerable off top-weight today. One who makes more appeal is Mutanawwer, who got within a neck of winning at Market Rasen first time up, but DEFINITE ROW should take all the beating. She impressively won on similarly quick ground at Hexham last month and connections are leaving nothing to chance this afternoon with McCoy booked to ride.
