In a moderate contest the marginal preference is for MEGA DOUBLE, based on her third-placed finish in a similar event at Cartmel last time out. Turbo has not been at his very best of late but the pick of his 2018 form would give him a big chance today. Others to note are Cats For Cash and Jaillissant.
Things haven't quite gone to plan for TURBO over fences, but this looks a good opportunity now switching back to the smaller obstacles. Mega Double promises to be well suited by this step up in trip, so she is preferred to Cats For Cash for forecast purposes.

EMIRAT DE CATANA made a winning handicap debut over C&D in May and a 5lb rise in the ratings may not be enough to stop him from taking this contest as well. Angel's Envy chased home the selection on that occasion and could do so once again this afternoon, while For Jim is the pick of the remainder.

VIENS CHERCHER (first) impressed when landing a big pot here 12 days ago ahead of veteran Ned Stark (third), and could confirm that form despite a 4lb rise. The latter is better off at the weights this time and should have come on for that first run in 630 days, but he isn't getting any younger at the age of 11 and could well 'bounce' here. King's Song hasn't enjoyed his last couple of appearances on the Flat but could do better back in this sphere under Denis O'Regan.

CHANCEITON won well over this distance at Hexham recently and a 7lb penalty might not be enough to stop Lucinda Russell's charge going in again. Donnas Dream has been running well in defeat in recent months and deserves a place on the shortlist, but the main danger appears to be Roll Of Thunder, who won here in May and should step up on his latest Hexham third now upped in trip.
CHANCEITON took a reasonable field apart when bolting up by 18 lengths at Hexham recently so, provided this doesn't come too soon, he's got excellent claims of following up. Spinning Scooter, another one on the back of a quick turnaround, is theoretically well treated based on his second in a C&D novice last time but his recent record in handicaps is rather dicey.

SKEAPING wasn't beaten far at Uttoxeter in selling company last month and might not need to improve a great deal on that second-placed effort to score. Stop Talking won over C&D three starts back and performed admirably at Aintree last time, while Amalfi Doug is unexposed over timber and won off 15lb lower over track and trip 12 days ago.
AMALFI DOUG was value for extra when a commanding winner over this C&D a fortnight ago, and though up 15 lb, the follow up is far from out of the question, Green Zone is entitled to finish closer to the selection this time, while Sky Khan will probably cash in on his reduced mark at some point this summer.
