MANDARIN SUNSET went down by a neck at the hands of Jumbo John over C&D last month and his previous experience over timber can see him run out victorious. He can't boast the bumper form that Hexham scorer Ziggie brings to the table, but he's likely to represent some value with improvement anticipated. Kelso fourth Turtle Watch makes most appeal of the remainder.

QUITO DU TRESOR has won here in the past and is very well treated if bouncing back to his best. He hinted at exactly that when runner-up over 2m here in April and the booking of Tom Scudamore looks significant. Current Event represents former champion trainer Paul Nicholls and he's been dropped 3lb for a lacklustre Exeter display most recently, while Now This Is It is interesting reverting to fences for the first time since June 2011.

SLEEP IN FIRST must give plenty of weight away to his rivals but he arrives in sparkling form. Four from his last five over the larger obstacles, he should make mincemeat of this hurdles mark of 112 if arriving in a similar mood and 10lb claimer Dale Irving helps ease the welter burden. C&D winner Momkinzain is up 8lb for scoring here last month and he's noted, along with Kelso second Academy.

Look no further than MULLIGAN'S MAN. Donald McCain's bumper and triple hurdles winner brings the best form to the table in this novice chase and, rated 127, he should have enough class to finally break his duck over fences. Captain Brown (118) is next best on official figures but it was tough to draw many positives from his Uttoxeter performance, so Mourne Paddy is feared most under champion jockey AP McCoy.

Three last-time-out winners go to post for a competitive-looking handicap but it's NEDZER'S RETURN that makes most appeal. Gordon Elliott boasts a formidable record when teaming up with Jason Maguire here and the son of Bob's Return may represent a little bit of value having regained some confidence between the flags in recent times. West With The Wind is up 11lb for his Exeter victory but remains a player against these rivals, while the in-form Merrion Square and 2010 Grand Annual hero Pigeon Island are others to consider carefully.

ANDREO BAMBALEO was strongly fancied when giving the useful Hada Men a beating at Market Rasen last time out and he's clearly in top shape. Tom Scudamore keeps the ride and there is little to suggest he won't go close off a 6lb higher mark if arriving in a similar mood. Glencree's 5lb rise for finishing second at Market Rasen looks a tad harsh, but he's also considered closely, along with the unexposed filly Busted Tycoon.

The finale looks a good opportunity for LAGAN CANAL to get off the mark. Tony Martin's representative left his two outings on soft ground well behind when finishing a decent third at Kelso on good going last month and there could be more to come with an even faster surface forecast today. The other with previous experience have shown little of note so he may have most to fear from newcomers Vasco Pierji, who represents the Donald McCain operation, and the Keith Dalgleigh-trained Lucky G.
