Indigo Island was pulled up when last sighted over fences but is of obvious interest judged on his hurdling ability in this modest heat. However, a chance is taken on LORD REDSGIRTH, who endured a tough time earlier in the year, but is exceptionally well handicapped on the pick of his form and is a previous C&D winner at a venue where prior experience is often crucial. Irish raider Personal Shopper looks best of the remainder.

Tom George enjoyed success at the three-day festival here last month and his ON THE CASE, who travelled sweetly at Towcester before being outstayed up the hill, can shrug off a subsequent 3lb rise to continue his handler's excellent association with the venue. With ground concerns lingering over Merry Minster on the back of a 270-day absence, and Scimon Templar's having unseated latest, Morning Time is feared most having shown more at Hexham on his return from a short break.

Amilliontimes stepped up markedly on his previous form when returning from a break in the first-time tongue-tie to finish second at Kelso, a head in front of the reopposing FEARLESS TUNES, and he would hold claims if building on that effort. Preference, though, is for Donald McCain's charge, whose last-flight blunder halted his momentum on that occasion and he ought to continue improving now upped in trip as a former point-to-point second. Newcomer Ballylumford, a half-brother to a winner between the flags, warrants a market check for shrewd connections.

First-time blinkers replace the visor on QUEL ELITE, who has shown more for the fitting of headgear the last twice, running notably well when beaten just under eight lengths into fourth from 3lb 'wrong' at Kelso, and he can regain the winning thread with the ground to suit. Ryton Runner proved laboured at this venue last month but shouldn't be dismissed too readily, with Hold Em Cowboy of interest for leading Irish connections.

The lightly-raced HUMPHREY BEE returned from an 11-month absence with a pleasing fourth over C&D latest, and this looks a good opportunity to open his account with the remaining trio all having something to prove. Wild Geese returns to a more suitable distance but was beaten before stamina became an issue when pulled up last month, while Gentle Bob was below-par at Uttoxeter and has yet to prove his stamina for the trip, so Killeenmore might provide the most resistance despite looking to have little in hand off his current mark.

20:35 Perth (Class 6) (5YO plus)

Bruce Farms Open Hunters' Chase (For The Linlithgow & Stirlingshire Hunt Challenge Trophy)

Not a strong renewal, with Back On The Road bidding to repeat his victory in this race last term. An extra 3lb might make life difficult, though, so the suggestion is BARACHOIS SILVER, who was narrowly denied by A New Rising at Hexham 11 days ago and is a prolific pointer in receipt of weight from the principals. The consistent Scrum V can give him most to think about.

A 5lb rise for Solway Dandy's latest C&D second looks on the harsh side, so preference is for MOLLY MILAN, who was flattered by her proximity to much superior rivals when third at Ayr but had previously shown enough over timber to suggest an opening mark of 99 should prove workable. Teo Vivo would be dangerous if the first-time blinkers have the desired effect, while Definitely Better is capable of getting involved at this lowly level.
