Verdict

GLINGERBANK ran very green on his debut, but got the hang of things eventually to finish a creditable third. That experience combined with this longer trip could see Nicky Richards' charge get his head in front tonight. Dual-bumper winner Brave Rebellion will appreciate this drop in class but is becoming frustrating, while the Tony Martin-trained Beneficial Guest is interesting on his hurdling bow with Ruby Walsh booked.

Verdict

This is a pretty moderate affair and WITCH POWER, who does at least seem to be improving, may well appreciate this drop back in trip and could be the answer. Madge also put in a creditable effort last time and should be there or thereabouts, while Nuzzle won a novices' selling hurdle at Kelso in November and a repeat of that form would see her go close here.

Verdict

Irish raider MADFORMAKEUP improved dramatically to score over hurdles at Thurles last month and this ex-point-to-point winner can follow up on his chasing debut here. Another from across the Irish Sea, Toran Road, looked to be going well in the lead when falling three out at Ballinrobe last time and could prove a big threat, while Bafana Boy appreciated the better ground when scoring on his debut over fences at Hexham and he too should enter the equation.

MUCKLE FLUGGA, who hit form at this time last year, ran a decent race when runner-up round here last time and this step-up in trip can see him get his head back in front tonight. Chief Dan George has been knocking on the door but is becoming quite frustrating and may have to settle for place money again, while Finians Ivy, representing the Tony Martin/Ruby Walsh combination, must be respected.

Verdict

MASTER PAPA, who won over C&D on his penultimate start, can complete the hat trick tonight after scoring at Bangor over slightly further last time. Henry Hogarth's charge has shot up the handicap, but he is still improving and can defy his penalty. Ton-Chee is yet to win over fences, but has found some consistency and should not be far away again, while Flaming Heck disappointed last time, but could prove dangerous if on a going day.
