Bellaney Lord sets the standard with an official rating of 113, but having failed to kick on after making a promising hurdling bow here last May, he might be worth taking on with BIX BEIDERBECKE. The Lucinda Russell-trained five-year-old faded into third on his first start over timber, which came at this circuit last month, but he should have scope for further progress and is expected to improve for that experience. Knocknacree is another to consider.

Gordon Elliott's runners must always be respected when sent here and that's certainly the case with Bodhisattva, who ought to improve having made a low-key start to his fencing career at Kilbeggan. The vote still goes to CONKWELL LEGEND, who arrives following a good second over timber at Ffos Las. It would be harsh to judge him on his sole chase start, where he unseated at the first, and he will be capable of better. Western Run can't be ruled out, but Get 'em In faces an uphill battle from 38lb out of the handicap.

With plenty of recent winners lining up here, only a tentative vote can go to KAJAKI. Nicky Richards' 10-year-old was able to cash in on a sliding handicap mark when successful over C&D three weeks ago, and a subsequent 5lb rise in the ratings appears unlikely to prevent another bold bid. Aurora Thunder makes significant appeal eased in class, while others to note include Haribo Collonges and Darkest Day.

Now that the penny has finally dropped for the consistent CALICO, who landed the odds at Tramore, there could be plenty more to come from Gordon Elliott's filly as she makes her handicap debut off a handy mark of 114. Glentruan ran with credit for third here last month, although he was also scheduled to appear on Wednesday's card, while Bertie's Wish arrives on the back of a Flat success at Ripon.

EVERYDAY CHAMPAGNE was slightly unlucky when carried left and touched off at Carlisle but he can gain compensation on this occasion, with the step back up in trip and application of a visor in his favour. The seven-year-old remains unexposed over fences and he gets the vote ahead of Carlisle winner Uptown Harry and Methodtothemadness, who won twice at Musselburgh before disappointing at Bangor.

AZOF DES MOTTES finally got off the mark when scoring at Kelso a month ago and it would be no surprise to see him go well again off just a 3lb higher rating. Sword Of Fate sprung a surprise at Wetherby two starts ago and hit the crossbar over 2m here on his most recent outing. With that in mind, the 10-year-old could prove to be the biggest threat, ahead of Izzy's Champion.

Minelladestination has to be of some interest having won at Stratford off just a 2lb lower mark last month. That said, marginal preference is for UP AND OUT, who has been running well enough in defeat of late to suggest that she can win a race of this nature. Beauty To Behold edges out Just Dottie to be best of the rest.
