The Skelton-team have a tremendous record at this track and KNICKERBOCKERGLORY could be one to add to that tally, following an effortless success at Ludlow last month. The son of Fame And Glory has won two of his last three and gets the vote ahead of Fleurman, who would hold strong claims if bouncing back to the form that saw him win at Market Rasen in February. Sanosuke can also have a say in proceedings.

PLATINUMCARD had shown a smart level of form on the Flat last season before returning to hurdles with Gordon Elliott and landing a strong contest at Ayr's Scottish National meeting. A 7lb rise for that victory appears manageable and he can fend off the attentions of the consistent Parisencore, who got off the mark in some style at Haydock last month. A stablemate of the selection, Eclair De Beaufeu hasn't shown much in recent outings but remains very well handicapped on old form.

The value may lie with OSCAR ROBERTSON, for whom a step up to the extreme distance has always looked as though it would suit. Tom George's charge has less than five lengths to make up with Poppa Poutine from their most recent clash and arrives here 6lb better off at the weights. The form of Dubai Devils' win at Hexham has been well-advertised by the second since but dryer conditions may not be ideal here, while I See You Well is a gelding on a roll and could have more to offer over further.

GERYVILLE gets the vote in this following a cosy win from The Ferry Master at Newcastle on his last outing. He has been given a 2lb rise in the handicap to 119 as a result, which is the mark he ran a promising second-placed race off at Doncaster on his penultimate outing. He went second approaching the last, suggesting he could need a bit further than 3m and with the ground conditions to suit, he should feature in this. Into Overdrive is another interesting sort who won nicely on his last outing over 2m4f, but he was a remote fourth on his last attempt over 3m, so may struggle. Seven No Trumps looks best of the rest, despite being 7lb higher than his last winning mark.

Back up in trip, MINELLA TRUMP gets the mark here having been successful on his last two outings at this course (with one win coming over course and distance). He failed to justify favouritism on his last outing, losing by three lengths to Scene Not Heard, but didn't jump as well as on previous outings. He is 4lb higher than his last winning mark of 136, where he won impressively by 21 lengths, suggesting a 4lb rise shouldn't see him struggle. Smoking Gun departed early in the Irish Grand National last week and could need a bit longer off the track, with Guy completing the shortlist off the same mark as his second-placed run last time out.

IMMORTAL FAME arrives here having won three of his last four starts since moving into handicap company and a 5lb rise for his latest success at Wincanton may not be enough to stop him from progressing further. The Jad Factor has been running consistently and could be thereabouts, while Cailin Dearg is also noted having held her form since returning in November.

The newcomer GUN RUNNER CASH represents a yard with a formidable record at this venue and may be worth chancing. Fellow Irish raider and debutant American Land can call on the services of champion jockey Brian Hughes and is worth a second look, while the more battle-hardened Barnards Green makes the shortlist having run well in two of his three starts.
