TRICKAWAY shaped as if he wanted further when staying on over an extended two miles in a NH flat race at Chepstow, and as a former point winner who fetched 26,000 pounds at the sales, he is expected to thrive now switched to obstacles and getting this extra yardage. Another Mattie posted another excellent effort in defeat to finish runner-up at Kelso and he will be out to provide his yard with another success in this race. Wicked Spice is a half-brother to Balthazar King and could be a lively player if forgiven his disappointing debut where he was sent off favourite.

Last year's winner Golden Sparkle has been running consistently well in stronger races and has to be considered a leading player. However, she may be in the hands of the handicapper at present, so perhaps BRIJOMI QUEEN is worth a try as she can also appreciate the drop in class from Listed company, but boasts a more unexposed profile on just her seventh start over hurdles. In By Midnight posted another solid display at Stratford and any rainfall would boost her chances.

SAUSALITO SUNRISE looks tough to oppose after he followed up a decent sixth in the Albert Bartlett with a facile 12-length success at Bangor. The main danger could be Oscar Rock, who hasn't been seen since disappointing at Haydock in February, but promised so much earlier in the season, including when finishing third in the Challow Hurdle at Newbury. A return to form for him would make him a leading contender, but Tonvadosa also deserves plenty of respect after hacking up at Hexham.

UT MAJEUR AULMES was just three lengths behind when making his chasing debut at Uttoxeter and the form of that race has worked out well, so he may be capable of conceding weight all round here. Roc D'Apsis hasn't been seen since beating a now 122-rated rival at Southwell in December and remains unexposed, while Too Cool To Fool got the better of a subsequent winner when scoring at Ayr and is pretty lightly raced for an 11-year-old.

STRONGPOINT finished down the field in the County Hurdle but bounced back with an excellent fifth in a competitive Aintree handicap. The son of Bob Back is expected to appreciate this drop in grade and looks a big player. Just Cameron goes up another 4lb after finishing runner-up at Ayr recently but can remain competitive, while Minella Reception deserves a market check on his first start for a new yard after a decent front-running effort at Newbury in February.

Good Order competes off 13lb higher than when winning this last year and is tough to fancy after he was pulled up at Kempton. LAMBORO LAD arrives in much better heart after finishing runner-up at Ffos Las. The son of Milan looked the winner on that occasion and didn't quite see out the extended 3m1f, so the slightly shorter trip may be just what is required. Fiddlers Reel deserves the utmost respect as he looked the winner when unseating his rider at Kelso.

17:35 Perth (Class 4) (4YO plus)

Fonab Castle Hotel Amateur Riders' Handicap Hurdle

RYTON RUNNER was third in a much stronger race at Newcastle in March and the drop in grade can signal a return to winning ways for this former C&D winner. St Gregory hasn't been seen since she posted another excellent effort to finish runner-up at Kelso in December and she looks dangerously unexposed on just her seventh hurdle start. Amore Mio has been dropped 2lb after a decent front-running effort at Hexham last month and he looks a place contender at least.
