A warm heat on paper spearheaded by dual winner KATACHENKO, who took another step forward when scoring at Kelso and ought to continue improving tackling the forecast better ground (won an Irish point on good to firm). Donald McCain's charge can defy a double penalty at the main expense of Such A Legend, who is another likely improver encountering a sound surface. Tough Trade was still well in contention when falling at Kelso and is respected, but Wetherby winner Mixed Message might prove best of the remainder in receipt of weight from the principals.

Solway Dandy and MOMKINZAIN, who arrive here fresh with summer campaigns seemingly on the agenda, look the pair to concentrate on. The first-named is not yet fully exposed over hurdles, but preference is for Lucinda Russell's charge, who notched a brace at this course last summer and resumes on a workable mark. Endeavor, who reverts to timber following a disappointing effort over fences at Kelso, and Early Applause appear next best.

Hollow Blue Sky is 5lb well-in after Saturday's Haydock exertions and holds obvious claims providing this doesn't come too soon, but preference is for SEEBRIGHT, who opened his chasing account in good style at Fontwell and remains with scope off a mark of 125 judged on his hurdling ability. The first-time hood could spark a revival from the feasibly handicapped Ballytober but, despite being 4lb wrong, Irish raider Heathfield is the most interesting of the remainder following a promising run at Leopardstown over Christmas.

First-time cheekpieces need to elicit improvement from Pure Science, who doesn't look strikingly well treated and isn't the most straightforward. One For Harry's tendency to throw in a shocker is disconcerting, while he appears best with more cut underfoot, so ready preference is for ENCHANTED GARDEN, who fluffed his lines at Sedgefield but remains open to improvement in this sphere, especially on the forecast ground. Strongpoint would hold claims if recovering from yesterday's exertions.

Quincy Des Pictons is 2lb higher than when landing last year's renewal and hinted at a revival when second at Chepstow, while Tap Night and Conquisto are back down to workable marks and need consideration. Shadows Lengthen holds excellent claims of completing the hat-trick with the return the forecast ground in his favour, but the suggestion is ROUDOUDOU VILLE, who travelled well for a long way at Fontwell and a subsequent 3lb ease leaves him very well treated on the pick of his form from two seasons back.

6

16:55 Perth (Class 5) (5YO plus)

WELL METT has plenty in hand of today's rivals on official figures and is difficult to oppose following a satisfactory reappearance in a point last month. Buckstruther and Captain Americo, who have both been in good heart between the flags, warrant plenty of respect, but Pena Dorada is feared most given his excellent efforts in this sphere since the turn of the year.

Another Mattie is respected reverting to handicap company but his record of 0-12 under Rules is reason enough to look elsewhere. Minella Reception and Plus Jamais hold solid credentials, but the preference is for MOSS CLOUD, who ran in snatches at Carlisle but had previously shown his best form on decent ground and is likely to be sharper in first-time blinkers. Bernardelli is interesting from an each-way perspective.
