Mr Preacher Man is a horse definitely capable of winning races but he does not look to have a great deal of pace and this could prove a tad sharp for him, nonetheless he should make the frame. Pigeon Island has shown a reasonable level of form for a while and he sets the standard on his most recent Newbury run but it is slightly concerning that he is still a maiden under all codes. RUSSIAN TRIGGER caught many an eye on his debut at Taunton when warming to his task nicely in the closing stages and is sent an awful long way in search of this easier ground.

Red Scally ran well in a good heat last time when proving stamina was not an issue. Storymaker has really come to himself in the last few months but is now 35lb higher than when he first scored and despite a good run last time when out of the handicap he has no easy task in a competitive race. Cloudmor has been running well all season both over hurdles and fences and he remains in good heart. NAE BOTHER AT ALL has been absent since disappointing last time but is an interesting runner on his handicap debut as his first two starts were promising.

Fast Forward has done well over fences and was simply outstayed last time in very testing conditions and he looks a serious player in this. The wheels seem to have come of Royal Rosa but he is a horse with a big engine if back to anywhere near his best and he cannot be totally dismissed. First Look was a fair hurdler who got off the mark over fences last time but needs to improve again to win this. LANKAWI has been a massive improver over fences and only found one to good when trying to stretch his unbeaten run to four on his latest start in a hot handicap at Aintree and he looks the one to beat.

Lennon won this last year off a 10lb lower mark and has since developed into a very useful novice chaser. He might well have improved enough in the last 12 months to make today's mark look lenient and he is a fascinating runner. WINGMAN was a very useful horse on the level who has not convinced thus far with his attitude over hurdles. He could well improve in a big field like this sitting off a strong gallop and he gets the vote. Seribase and Daldini are others to consider.

Green Ideal is a bit hit and miss but is slipping back down the handicap and a massive plus is the good form of his stable. LUTEA has done really well for Peter Monteith and was returning from a long winter break to win over hurdles last time and completing a hat-trick in the process. It looks as though this race has been mapped out and he should put up a bold bid providing the ground does not deteriorate. Baodai got off the mark over fences last time in a moderate heat but should have some more improvement in him and cannot be underestimated.

Good Time Willie has run against some smart novices in his limited runs to date and apart from his penultimate start he has not shown mush promise. He makes his handicap debut returning from a break and a close look at the market is advised. GARNETT came off the Flat to win a hunter chase last time and judged on his hurdling efforts a couple of years ago he looks well treated off a mark of 98. He is sent a long way to run here by his shrewd handler. Both Prince Adjal and the enigmatic Caesars Palace are capable on there day and it would be no surprise to see them staying on late.

CLOSED SHOP has been off for a few months since disappointing last time at Wincanton but had looked promising previously. He won a bumper on his debut and was narrowly beaten on his hurdles bow and he is well worth another chance. Just Jaffa has been running to a solid level and should be in the shake-up along with Or De Grugy who has been second on his last three starts. Middleton Dene has to put a moderate run last time behind him.
