NANDO failed to see out his race over 2m at Ayr but the fitting of a hood may help in that respect. Nicky Richards' six-year-old makes more appeal on his preceding second at the same track and helps set the standard now. If he doesn't stay this longer trip, recent Warwick third Blue Flight, a 3m point winner, could be the one to capitalise. Last-time-out Carlisle third Lovely Schtuff makes most appeal of the remainder.

LONGHOUSESIGNORA returned to form with a creditable second over the extended 2m5f at Ludlow and is expected to remain competitive following a 2lb rise. Princess Mononoke is 5lb higher than when scoring over 2m1f at Sedgefield 12 days ago but could improve for this step up in trip. The pick of the remainder may be Hazy Manor, who is expected to take a forward step now going handicapping off an opening perch of 105.

CALETT MAD pulled up in the Albert Bartlett but had previously left a favourable impression when winning a handicap hurdle at Musselburgh. He seemed rejuvenated by a wind op and is worth siding with on favourable terms here. Bialco has plenty to find with Knockrobin on their Bangor clash in March and needs to raise his game to figure at the weights. Scorpion Sid, who is 2-2 under Rules, could feasibly take a hand.

BRANDON HILL has run some excellent races in defeat this season but was disappointing on his most recent start when last behind Cepage at Kempton. He has since had a wind operation and his rider's claim could aid his chances, with his excellent jumping also a huge asset. Allysson Monterg can improve for the step back up in trip having finished third over 2m4f at Uttoxeter. Uhlan Bute bounced back to form at Ludlow and a repeat of that gives him every chance off 9lb higher.

THE JAM MAN racked up a hat-trick of victories within the space of a week in early March at Catterick, Ayr, and Sedgefield, improving 23lb in the process. He has had a small break and looks capable of continuing his forward momentum. Sporting Milan was well beaten on his first start for Stuart Coltherd but he is entitled to take a big step forward having returned from a lengthy absence, while Jimmy Bell may have let down favourite-backers at Hereford but there was nothing really wrong with the performance.

SHANROE STREET arrives here having won well at Carlisle on his most recent start, getting the better of Rainy City, and despite reopposing on 5lb worse terms, the form can be upheld. The latter bounced back to form after being pulled up the time before at Ayr and is respected, while Some Are Lucky and Teddy Tee look best of the remainder.

Morning With Ivan looked on good terms with herself when romping to an easy victory at Musselburgh in March and should give another good account, despite an 8lb rise. Of more interest, however, is THINK AHEAD, who broke his maiden at Cartmel last summer and is entitled to step up on his comeback spin at Haydock now moving into handicaps. An ex-Godolphin performer and rated 105 on the Flat, he could be nicely treated in this sphere. Centurius is also considered now cutting back in trip.
