RAKHINE STATE struggled in a better race at Leopardstown at the beginning of last month but is better judged on his determined Clonmel success in February and, if arriving in that form, could be hard to beat. Gordon Elliott has secured the services of the champion jockey Richard Johnson and he can get the better of Fanzio, a winner at Newcastle in January, and last-start Hexham second Snookered.

Marracudja wasn't disgraced in the Grand Annual at Cheltenham on his first start after wind surgery and is very much respected for the bang in-form Dan Skelton operation. However, CAPITOUL makes more appeal as he has won three of his last five starts and reverts to handicap company off what is still a decent mark. Foxtail Hill is another expected to show up well.

A competitive heat but the eye is immediately drawn to LAS TUNAS, who goes in search of the hat-trick. Back-to-back wins over a similar trip at Wetherby means he arrives here in the form of his life, having won three of his last five, and he reverts to hurdles off 4lb lower than when scoring comfortably over fences at the Yorkshire venue last time. Haasab won on his first start after a wind operation at Market Rasen three weeks ago and heads the list of dangers from Make It Happen.

With ground conditions in his favour and with his mark having come down to an attractive one of 140, BIGMARTRE makes appeal. You only have to go back to December 2017 for when he beat Cyrname by almost five lengths off 137 at Newbury and, although recent form is uninspiring, it could be that this better ground and return to Scotland brings about an improved display, as he won a Grade 2 over this trip at Ayr 12 months ago. Wicked Willy and Piton Pete arrive full of confidence following their latest wins and join Graineyhill on the shortlist.

FROM EDEN showed improved form when stepped up to an extended 3m at Ayr's Scottish National meeting earlier in the month and Gordon Elliott's gelding may have more to come for a further step up in trip. Carrolls Milan has won her last two starts at Ludlow and Market Rasen so warrants plenty of respect as she bids for a hat-trick, while Mighty Thunder and Sun Cloud look best of the remainder.

PLAY THE ACE reached a fair level in handicaps for Peter Bowen and now switches to his son Mickey as he begins his career in hunter chases. The son of Scorpion looks capable of making an impact in this sphere and can prove too strong for Double Whammy, who found the Cheltenham Foxhunters too much for him, and Forgotten Gold, who ran better when third at Newbury last month.

Great Vizier has to warrant respect coming over for Gordon Elliott with Richard Johnson in the saddle but, that said, his form so far over hurdles doesn't suggest he he is particularly well handicapped. Putting Green finished second at Taunton last time and is respected off the same mark on this occasion, but the vote goes to PAINT THE DREAM. He took a good step forward from his handicap debut when second to a well-handicapped rival at Wincanton earlier in the month and, off a 2lb higher mark, can gain his first career success.
