CASA TALL faced a very tough task on his UK debut when finishing 13th in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham but this is a much more realistic target for this dual winner in France. The fact that connections placed him in that race suggests that they think a lot of him and this contest does not have a lot of strength in depth. Cornerstone Lad is an obvious danger given his consistency, while Chookie Royale is the pick of the remainder.

MIXBOY has had a couple of spins on the Flat since his last appearance over fences, which was a victory over this trip at Musselburgh in January. A 3lb rise in the ratings for that success appears to be fair and he is the one to beat despite carrying top weight. Vosne Romanee struggled in a Grade 3 handicap at Aintree last time but he should go well in a race of this nature, while Baby King is not the most reliable of geldings but he cannot be discounted.

Pc Dixon has an obvious chance given how well he has been running of late but the five-year-old may be touch high in the ratings to win this contest. With that in mind, the nod goes to THE COMPELLER, who finished second at Musselburgh when last seen. From the same mark here, the son of Lawman could take plenty of beating. Others to consider are Bahrikate, Main Fact and Titus Bolt.

BALLYARTHUR deserved his victory last time out because it followed some good efforts in decent races earlier in the season. He is now 3lb higher in the ratings but that is far from unfair and the son of Kayf Tara makes the most appeal. Bollin Ace also brings strong form to the table but his best performances have come in novice chases and he does have a bit to prove in handicap company. Some Are Lucky would have to be respected if turned out quickly following his second at the track on Wednesday.

TIQUER benefited for a wind operation when staying on strongly to beat Kayf Adventure at Newbury and a 7lb rise in the weights looks fair. He doesn't have many miles on the clock and there could be an argument that he may have more to offer. Pain Au Chocolat won as he pleased having been left clear at Newcastle last time and he merits respect along with Wadswick Court, who could go well returning from a break.

SUN CLOUD bids for back-to-back wins in the race but is 15lb higher in the weights having had a progressive campaign over timber since. Despite his last couple of runs leaving a bit to be desired, a pair of blinkers may do the trick for Ruth Jefferson's gelding as he had benefited from cheekpieces over the last year. Total Assets has been in very consistent form over the last 12 months and should be thereabouts once again, while My Old Gold and Skipthescales could have more to come having both won their most recent outings at Carlisle over 3m1f.

HENRY'S JOY arrives here having won on his handicap debut at Sedgefield following some decent efforts in novice hurdle contests. A 7lb rise looks more than fair for Donald McCain's gelding and he can take another step forward here. Loud And Clear had two outings over hurdles in the summer and is open to improvement on what he has shown so far. A first-time hood/tongue tie could elicit further improvement, while Lord Napier can bounce back after a disappointing effort at Exeter earlier in the month.
