Verdict

Despite ALGENON proving a lucky winner on his chasing debut when left clear at the last, he performed with a lot of credit and looks sure to close in his bid to follow-up. Lawaaheb finished third at Sedgefield on his last start over obstacles and should run his usual solid race, while Gunson Hight won at Hexham on his penultimate start and could prove best of the rest.
