Chipping, who cost 90,000 euros as a yearling, was the subject of strong market support ahead of finishing third on his debut over this trip at Newcastle and could prove difficult to beat with that experience under his belt. However, BITHYNIA pulled three lengths clear of the third when finishing second over C&D earlier this month and is marginally preferred in the hope she can dictate matters from the front. Harvest Moon wasn't given a hard time of things on debut when third at Nottingham and completes the shortlist.

Watch out for: Chipping (4)

SHEIKSPEAR made a useful prospect work hard and improved himself when second at Kempton last time and could take some stopping back in trip here. Chipping looks a certain improver also after a promising start at Newcastle, while Harvest Moon is similarly open to progress.

Plenty arrive here with something to prove and SCOTCH MYST is handed only a tentative vote. Richard Fahey's colt ran his best race to date to finish fifth on his handicap bow at Carlisle in August and wouldn't have to improve much on that effort to land this. Not Now Nadia dwelt and suffered interference at the start before finishing sixth at Musselburgh, and that run is worth upgrading. Fully Focussed and Dusty Bin begin life in handicaps off lowly marks and any market support would be interesting.

The son of Dubawi kept on in determined fashion to finish third in a stronger race than this at Newmarket and the extra furlong should suit given his pedigree. Jukebox Jive improved markedly on his debut effort to finish third over 1m2f at Bath, though he did have the run of things out in front that day and Sofia's Rock may prove a bigger danger despite failing to justify favouritism at Hamilton in August.

Rockliffe faced a difficult task over timber at Ludlow on his debut for Micky Hammond but didn't run badly in the circumstances and his earlier form in this sphere entitles him to respect. Adherence and Mikro Polemistis look the pick of the remainder.

Shah Of Armaan appears the pick of the runners with racecourse experience after fair efforts at Hamilton and Pontefract but he hardly sets an insurmountable standard to aim at and preference is for the newcomer ZABEEL PRINCE. Roger Varian's colt cost 325,000 guineas as a yearling and certainly takes the eye on pedigree being closely related to multiple winners over this trip. Blue Cliffs and Einstein both hinted at ability on debut and look the only other realistic contenders.
