Joseph O'Brien's SANTIAGO DE CUBA has placed in both starts since returning from an absence and the step up from 2m gives the J P McManus-owned Pour Moi gelding a huge chance of getting off the mark over hurdles. Gigiplan Two Seven wasn't too far away when second on his stable debut for Martin Brassil at Punchestown, while Speirling has disappointed the last twice but could be capable of much better if reproducing the run of his Punchestown fifth in the winter when behind some high-class performers.

Willie Mullins took this race last year with a useful performer and could do so again here with Limerick winner Bang Bang Rosie, who wasn't disgraced when second attempting to follow up her Limerick success at Kilbeggan. However, preference is for BOOT CAMP, who has been tenderly handled by Gordon Elliott and backed up some eye-catching bumper runs with a win at Down Royal on his first hurdles appearance last month. The hat-trick seeking Amschel is also considered.

However, preference is for recent 2m course winner CIANKYLE, who impressed when eight lengths clear of his nearest pursuer that day and, despite a hefty 9lb rise, he looks a horse on the up and could complete the double. Realta Dawn and Like A Diamond are others who are capable of making it onto the podium.

Spring Watch impressed at Punchestown last time and Mouse Morris' six-year-old has to be respected, despite a 9lb rise. However, the veteran MY BETTY has proved age is just a number when scoring the last twice and, despite a further 8lb rise to contend with for the most recent of those triumphs, she can keep her run going to land the hat-trick having looked as good as ever over this trip last time. Jarob and Dorans River have both been given a chance by the assessor and make each-way appeal, with the former wearing first-time cheekpieces.

TRIANGLE ROCK appeals as the type to improve now his attention has been switched to handicapping, and the son of Stowaway is one of the lesser exposed horses in the field so there could be plenty more to come. Humps And Bumps has a similar profile to the selection so warrants respect in her own right, while first-time blinkers could make a difference to Kickham, who appeared to benefit from the addition of a tongue-tie last time.

A couple of decent pedigrees add some interest to this contest with a half-sister to Grade 2-winning chaser Aces Four, Supreme Trix, and DONA KATHARINA, a full-sister to Grade 1 winner Outlander and many other useful performers in the family. Preference goes to the latter as she has the weight-for-age pull which could feasibly make the all-important difference. Iamastartoo's last start reads very well, having finished just over five lengths behind the Cheltenham Champion Bumper winner Relegate at Punchestown in January, and she can go well after a 178-day break.
