Aurelia Or probably sets the standard on last season's placed efforts but the ground might be livelier here than she'd prefer and winning-pointer RUNWITHTHETIDE looks a viable alternative, having shaped nicely when a runner-up over an inadequate trip at Chepstow on her recent hurdles bow. Fellow point-to-point winner Sharp Shadow also warrants a look on her Rules debut, whilst both So Said I and I Spy A Diva have both shown promise over hurdles already.

A credible case can be made out for a number of these, including MAKKA PAKKA, who proved himself to be on the upgrade when jumping well throughout over this C&D two weeks ago, only to be overhauled in the dying strides. Both Rob The Getaway and Guetapan Collonges signed off last season in winning form and neither could be ruled out off revised marks on their return, whilst Romanor has been knocking at the door and should remain competitive.

This looks a golden opportunity for Humaniste judged on his Irish form making his debut for Max Young. For all that, he wasn't convincing when last seen in the spring and may be worth taking on, with GAIA VALLIS forwarded as a sporting alternative having shown better signs over hurdles prior to falling over fences last time. Largy Mouth wasn't far off at times last term and could also feature if galvanised by a recent stable switch.

Dan Skelton fields two interesting runners in chasing debutant CADZAND and Knight In Dubai. Preference, though, goes to the former as he was a useful novice hurdler last season and his schooling must be pleasing connections sufficiently with him being pitched into an open handicap straight away. The latter has gone well fresh in the past, but he might need the outing on his first start since March 2020. With that in mind, Kap Auteuil and Longshanks appeal most of the remainder.

CALL OF THE WILD ran out an impressive winner of his sole bumper outing at Huntingdon in May and the son of Fame And Glory is likely to appreciate this speed test on his first attempt over timber. Lustleigh is expected to have progressed for his time off having finished third to Adagio at Warwick last November, while Millbank Flyer is likely to benefit from a wind operation having disappointed when sent off favourite when last seen at Taunton in December.

SUBLIME HEIGHTS was fancied to be very competitive on his handicap debut over hurdles at Warwick in March but ended up being disappointing on that occasion. The step up in trip on his return to action is likely to see him in a much better light, with the handicapper having dropped him 4lb following that effort. Fort Denison finished third here earlier in the month and is entitled to be in the mix along with Zuckerberg.

COSTLY DIAMOND arrives in a rich vein of form over the larger obstacles and this mark of 100 may not be insurmountable for the in-form seven-year-old. The Gary Hanmer-trained mare gets the nod to land the spoils switching to hurdles, while the lightly-raced Dorisa Queen rates the most immediate danger. Crem Fresh showed plenty of promise last time out and she completes the shortlist.

NORLEY was only denied by an improving rival when second at Exeter last time out, staying on to pull nine lengths clear of third. There may be more to come from the unexposed six-year-old and he gets the vote with Luca Morgan claiming 5lb in the saddle. Seaborough has been competing in tougher contests than this and he demands respect in calmer waters, while Lexi's Choice merits consideration after a break.
