Although Flat winner Prince Chaparral has been placed in two of his three runs over timber, he was well held both times and needs to improve to break his duck. The penny appeared to have dropped last time for Table Forty Six when she was a close third at Down Royal but slight preference is for HIRED HAND. He's been running with credit on the Flat recently but his close fourth over 2m in a Down Royal maiden hurdle, which has thrown up several subsequent winners, looks the best for on offer here and earns him the vote.

Worldly Wise has been placed in four of his eight starts over hurdles but may need some help from the handicapper before he can break his duck. Fairly Definite has put in some decent efforts over timber but also seems to have plenty to do at the weights. It may be worth taking a chance on the seasonal debutant DREAM HOME, who is yet to make the frame in six outings over hurdles but scored over fences last time out over 2m7f at Downpatrick. If she can transfer that form to timber, she's weighted to score here.

It's taken AON SCEAL a long time to get the hang of things over timber but after five disappointing efforts, he got his act together to take a close second over 2m at Ballinrobe last month. He has very little to find on that effort to land the spoils here. The biggest danger might be Hassanali, who has been running well on the polytrack and has won over timber in the past. Lady Chatterbox has struggled over hurdles so far but was a decent bumper horse, is related to some smart jumpers and should be capable of better.

It may be worth giving another chance here to TOMMY TURKLE, quietly fancied at Kilbeggan last time only to be brought down at the first fence. Prior to that he had been making good progress over the bigger obstacles and it's unlikely we've seen the best of him yet. Betheholygobbs won gamely at Thurles two starts ago but was held at the weights next time at Punchestown and needs to raise his game, while Deputy Consort looks a progressive sort but still has more to find.

Bahrain Storm, a Grade 3 winner over hurdles, has shown some ability in two runs over fences and should be up to contesting the finish, while King Of The Refs, placed four times in eight starts over timber, is looking exposed over the smaller obstacles but could go well first time over fences. Preference is for ROCCO'S HALL, beaten but far from disgraced in a hot handicap chase over 3m6f at Punchestown this month. Before that he was close second over 2m6f in a Fairyhouse novices' chase and could open his account tonight, dropped in class again.

Although BINGO LADY has won between the flags, she's also fallen three times recently so the switch to a bumper at Cork looked a logical step. She attempted to make all that day only to be caught close home but if she's benefitted for the experience, she can go one better tonight. Roseini won a Tramore point-to-point last month and could chase the selection home on her racecourse debut, while chances could be given to Dontbecodnme, Ennisnag and Our Ned.

This should go the way of MAKE IT BETTER. After a hat-trick between the flags this spring, she overcame some jumping errors to run out a very comfortable winner of a 3m Cork hunters' chase last month and a clear round should see her follow up. Merchant Royal, a winner between the flags, failed to complete a similar contest at Punchestown this month but is entitled to benefit for the experience and could be the one for the forecast. Another point-to-point winner, Autumn Day, could go well first time under NH rules.

Recent point-to-point scorer Honours Rule could go well on his debut under Rules while Intentandpurposes was a decent third on his debut in a 2m4f Cork bumper and might appreciate this drop in trip. The link up of top trainer Gordon Elliot and talented jockey Nina Carberry, however, suggests that GOLDEN CALL is the one to be on. Twice a winner between the flags, the gelding is related to some decent NH types and should be capable of landing a race like this on his NH debut.
